  1. And when you do talk to your legislators, try to build a relationship with them.   Don’t just send snarky emails and then play gotcha when you see them in public.  Over the last 10 years I have seen constant missed opportunities because something didn’t go as far as we would like because people want stop screaming long enough to see for everyone person trying to push in one direction, there is also someone else pulling in the opposite direction.

tens of thousands of opinions and agenda’s out there.  You have to start making yours worth listening to.  The media is not going to be our friend so we have to make sure our legislators know they have support to do the right thing.  Yelling and screaming does not help

  2. They don’t feel like real antler. If they are plastic, they are 40s or 50. But from other examples I have seen online, the other antler like handles are never the same looking. If they were plastic, they used a number of the same casts. They look to have walnut tiles on the back.

I downloaded the form last week. Filled it out, was going to wait till after the new year to file the paperwork

I have a blue one very similar to yours. Barrel appears to be 5". My favorite length for an N-frame revolver.

And YES! It is perfectly safe to shoot with modern ammunition. Take it out an enjoy!

The SW response said this one was probably blued. If someone polished it, it was a good job.  It looks to be just a stainless steel finish.  Trying to figure out if these are real antler handles though.  I saw a lot of examples from pearl grips, to walnut. I have seen many similar handles but they are not the same pattern.

  4. This thing is real solid. It does not ratttle or feels loose. It probably has not been fired in 50+ years. Does not have any pitting or any rust.

I have several .44 rounds that came with it. Probably 50 years old as well.   I feel pretty good about it.  But yeah, always a concern with old firearms

  5. So my uncle passed last month.  He told my aunt before he died to make sure I get a certain revolver that was my grandfather’s. He already gave me my grandfather’s .SW 38 special which SW dated back to 1964.  So I was surprised to hear about this one. I never saw it growing up and had no idea he owned it.

My father said he owned this one first but it was just to big to carry everyday.  He worked as a constable and at parchman prison in MS.

I contacted SW with the serial number and they dated it 1926-27. Very well take care of.  Looking forward to taking her out.  Going to get the holster repaired as well. proud to have it  looks good to be 90years old

  6. I split my time between a ruger lcp380, ruger sr40 and a glock 43.

My carry of choice is my sr40 but it is a bit bigger so I can't cc when I have my work cloths. That is when I carry my 380

the 43 is a flex carry.  It all depends on where I am going, what I am doing and how concealed I need to be

  7. I am buying a 9mm to go with my 40 and 380. I carry my 380 while in my work cloths, sunday's, and any other time i cant fit my bigger frames. I had been carrying my 40 anytime else but i am going to add a smaller 9. When i shoot my 380 it is just not accurate. So i want a 9 that i could carry in order to leave my 380 more.
  8. Thanks, this is what i thought. So the big mean sign i saw yesterday at my child's school about carrying on school property means 1- that you criminals better not bring your heat on school grounds otherwise we will fine you $6k and charge you with a crime (wags finger). 2, you permit holders will be scared to have lunch with your child because you will second guess the big mean sign and wonder if you are legal or not. Thanks folks
  9. Ok, i know this has been asked but i have seen 2 different conflicting things. I swear i read where you can leave a gun (as long as there is not an intent to go armed) in a car in a parking lot of a school. But yesterday i read an ag report where it is not allowed on any property a school function is going on.

I have been under the impression i could park in a school lot, leave a firearm locked in my vehicle is that not the case legally?
  10. I didn't dig the "Hey, this dude here knows all about what caused it but there won't be any discussion about it so we can string the audience along for a bit" nonsense also.

And again with the full-auto stupidity. While the guy with the pistol does one-shot-one-kill a half dozen times in a row.

The 12 year old with a pistol at that.
  11. I am half way through season 3. Last week i watched the red dawn remake and then 3 episodes of twd. I dreamed about a hoard of Koreans chasing me through a small country town that night. So weird
