Joejodus, I go to Grassy Valley Baptist Church! We are on the corner of Kingston Pike and Lovell Road , in the West Knox area! Would love for you to visit- really great church and very casual!
-
You would love our church and def worth the trip! Our pastor is the only Egyptian Southern Baptist preacher I know and he is awesome!

My first day out and I decided to follow advice from someone here on a different thread. He said he wears his weapon and he just goes places-doesn't plan if he needs it that day or not, he just always wears it. So , the day went great and into the evening I had kinda forgot I was wearing it, a S&W 38 model649, then at church I hugged someone and they laughed because they were caring too! It was funny and now our Preacher is planing a trip to the range for all of us , he carries too! In fact if a BG comes to our church , the only problem will be the crossfire! LOL

HCP came in the mail today! Took about 3 weeks, not too bad! Guess tomorrow I will go to Wally World and see if anyone looks!!

Welcome to Tennessee! My family moved back here from Tampa, and yes it is an adjustment!! But I was born here and I think it is the most beautiful place in the world! We are in Knoxville too, so see ya at the range sometime!

I hid in the bathtub with 5 dogs and an umbrella cockatoo! We have trees down and the yard and street are flooded! Golfball size hail and wind that sounded like a train!

It's all a game of "chess" and I think the delay in providing the info was deliberate! Totally agree with adamween! What if I showed up with a newspaper clipping about my birth instead of a certified birth certificate ,when I went in for my HCP? I don't blame the birthers , I blame the President for not releasing the info sooner!

Thanks all, I will post pics soon! Next project will be to clean up a tiny little Colt 25. It looks rough so I need to find a manual to know how to take it apart? A guy told me it was called a "vest pocket" gun. I think it will be really nice if I can get it cleaned and shiny! You guys have been a big help! Thanks!

Thanks Jonnin, I have not even tried 357's in the Trooper , but I did try the 44 ! It really makes you aware of how powerful a gun is. Does the serial numbers give you more info on the model, or just a date of manufacturing?
-
Thanks, I suppose just because it is a certain model number does not mean they are all the same! Being new at this , and a woman, there are a few things I need to learn! LOL

They are the original wood grips that I am wanting to clean and store. Bear in mind, they have a large amount of nicotine on them. He use to smoke 4 packs a day!

I have been cleaning the revolvers that my Dad gave me. I also put new grips on them and I saved the originals. How do I clean and store the old grips? I assume they are all older models ,they have been around as long as I can remember. The ones in question are Smith & Wesson 60. 38spl Smith & Wesson 649. 38spl Smit & Wesson 629-1 44 mag Colt Trooper 357 mag Also on the two 38s, do these models shoot 357s too?

Gentlemen, first of all, it's a baby! And yes baby snakes are a bit nippy compared to adults but this is a not a dangerous snake! We have had plenty of snakes and yes, I have been bitten but in general the snake just wants you to leave it alone. My daughter had a 14 foot python, now I know what your thinking, " pythons are poisonous " YOUR RIGHT but the bite sure hurts! Fact is, it is more scared of you than you are of it. Well at least that should be true! Let it live and get rid of your rodents! Find someone your own size to pick on! I added a scream here so you would know what I meant. Your right , they are not poisonous! But the bite sure hurts ,as does the broken rib!!! And OhShoot this "he" is a "she"!

Welcome to Tennessee! I was born here but I have moved around a lot and Tennessee is the most beautiful place in the world! The people are blunt but us woman try to sugar coat everything! I live in Knoxville and if you ever get to East Tennessee , you have to go to the Cades Cove! I think you will like it here , just don't listen to stories about snakes and black panthers! The men on this forum get riled over both topics! As for guns, we love our weapons and carry (almost)everywhere! Let us know what you think of our Tennessee !

Guess I'm not used to waiting! Got laser for my Smith & Wesson 649, and a few holsters and a belly band to try. So now I am just shopping for clothes to work with casual conceal! Ladies can always find an excuse to shop!!!
