I actually prefer the G-26 when compared to the G-27 as it's very comfortable to shoot and also more than accurate enough to satiety me. I've owed Gen 3 & 4 versions and if I were buying another today would go with the most current offering.

I'm still riding the fence on this one. But just how many pocket nines can we have to choose from? Seems the number is ever changing.
And to JAB, I owned the P3AT, the P32, and the PF9. Sold the first two sadly, should have kept them. I preferred them to the Ruger LCP.
Now as to the PF9...I absolutely hated that little bugger. JMO
I've owned all three of the above Kel-Tec pistols as well in the past. I regret trading the P-32 and while I own an LCP I'd have been just as well off to have kept the P3AT. But the PF9...oh heck no...that was the most aggravating 9mm P I've owned. It was uncomfortable to shoot and far to easy to have the mag drop out of it due to handling ergonomics. But it was very combat accurate and the few reliability issues I had were user induced.

Yep, which is why I'm interested in seeing actual size comparisons just to see how feasible that'll be.

I'm not repulsed by it but in some ways it does remind me of a SA XDs 9mmP. I'm curious as to what its ergonomics are going to be and why S&W chose to go with .380ACP instead of a 9mmP. Hopefully someone will be posting a picture of one of them soon laying alongside a S&W Shield 9mm P and superimposed over a 9mmP Shield. While I'm not enthused over all of the safeties it would be interesting to see what someone with arthritic or injured hands has to say about the pistol. Some of us are already dealing with problems with arthritis in our hands.

This is an excellent question. I'll expand the question into have the two of you taken a firearms training class separately or together yet? If not find a training course and take it. Good luck whichever route you take.

In no way intending to come across as flippant or trolling that really doesn't sound the least bit unusual for a new pistol release from Ruger or anyone else. My initial release Lc9 and LCP sure had those issues. IIRC the SR9 did as well. I've had like problems with Kel-Tec and heard of others in other brand names. All of this is why I'm hesitant to buy any new firearm until its been on the market for a while.

I couldn't agree more, the first time I handled an Old Model Bearcat I wanted one. Year's later and some time after they'd been brought back into production I found a used blued finish New Model Bearcat. It's didn't have the box and showed minor wear marks and the gun store price was too good to not buy it. So if I had a choice between the Ruger Shopkeeper and a Single Seven in .327 it'd be the Bearcat without hesitation.

Summary, rail has 1913 size slot, no grip cut out on front (won't take gen 5 mags), PVD finish in coyote , dual recoil spring. The rest is gen 5
For Glock guys i don't know if this is a win or not.
Good video, informative, I like the lanyard ring and extension on the front strap, that'll cut down on pinching your hand. But I still can't see it as much more then slapping some lipstick on a pig.

Shorter slide and barrel but same sized grip frame and magazine capacity . That's kind of a rehashing of the Colt Government Model and Combat Commander as being more whatever in a way isn't it? I believe a G-19 with either a Pierce Grip+2 extension or a G-17 magazine would be a better value for the money.

If so then it's probably going to be interesting to see what other agencies in the Mid-State move away from the 40 S&W and back to the 9MM P. My question would be how overall qualification scores with 9mm P service ammunition differs from the same with .40 S&W service ammo.

Recommendation for Photo-Editing Software
I’ve been shopping for a photo-editing software package and have been reading the reviews. Before I make a purchase I’d like to see if any of you have good recommendations with pro’s and con’s on them. What I’m looking for is a onetime purchase without monthly fees that’s comparably simple to use. I’ve used some free software and would prefer something more stable with better features.

I agree it was good as a movie on its own merits and its several cuts above the usual Netflix movies.

Aside from being dog ugly and overly bulky the Hi-Point Arms pistol do function well, the only gripes I've heard have been occasional magazine related feed issues. That's been discussed elsewhere and may or may not require some tweaks. Of the people I've personally known who own or have owned a HPA all have said they never had an issue with them.
I keep intending to buy one of the carbines in .45ACP but I haven't done so yet. It's good to see that your pleased with your HPA .380.

OK, that's what I'd suspected but I'd never expected a great price like that. I owned an XP-100 many years ago which had been opened up and re-barreled to .308. This was a few years ahead of Remington offering it in anything other than the .221 Fireball and it was a good deer hunting set up. I suspect your build in .300 Blackout will be much more efficient.

Out of curiosity how are you getting around using the Model 7 action for a pistol build? Was it a straight non- barreled action purchase? If so good on you, I'd wondered about that in the past.

If you’re staying at the Paris Landing State Park then give their Inn’s restaurant a try, I’ve been favorably impressed with their buffets. I’ll also highly recommend going to Pattie’s which is fairly close by and having a meal. They’re famous for their stuffed pork chops and flowerpot bread, if you don’t want to make a lunch or dinner reservation or wait for an exceptionally long period of time then Mr. Bill’s is there too.

I don't own a PT-111 9mmP but have extended family members who do and I've run several hundred rounds through a coupe of them. Ergonomics and reliability were good, trigger pulls kind of mediocre but tolerable, fit and finish are acceptable. All in all it's a good buy for the money and I'd recommend one to anyone interested. But if you want to go a step up and spend another hundred or so dollars for a new pistol then I'd suggest the S&W SD 9mmP.

If this is actually a prospective commercial model I'd consider the rotating barrel and ability to remove the slide w/o pulling the trigger favorably. But I'd be happier if the did away with that gosh awful guard with the grab onto me booger hook on it, I've hated that darn thing from the first Glock I owned.

I've owned a lot of different semi auto 7.62x51's. Of them all I liked the BM-59 that was briefly available the best. But if I had to choose between only an M1A or an AR-10 I'd choose the M1A.

Great post and excellent observations. I agree with your observation that the 19x is much akin to the Commander in respect to how the two platforms correlate to their full size counterparts.
