Sixty eight years ago the tide turned in the European theatre of World War 2 as 130,000 allies stormed the Normandy beaches or infiltrated inland by glider or parachute. It was a desperate gamble which, although not perfectly executed, resulted in the liberation of France and ultimately other occupied nations. As long as we remember and honor their sacrifice, it will be natural to offer our own.

The Aurora, CO police had a "virtual certainty" that a bank robber was among the people stopped at an intersection. So they pulled everybody out and cuffed them until his identity was discovered. Legal headaches to come.

And 38 were suspended. It's rumored that they wanted to take passengers to dinner first before groping them.

A man posted his views online questioning the president's citizenship and motives and, well.....inquiring minds want to know.

Ditto JG55's Bersa Thunder .22. It doesn't eat junk very well. Stay with Mini-Mags and Remy Goldens and you should do well.

It was a bit too highbrow for me.

And remember to call the concentration camps being set up here "FEMA death camps" and not American death camps.

If only the cop had Hornady Zombie ammo, he wouldn't have had to shoot so many times.

Any ad promoting a drug. I don't want to tell my doctor about any medication--let him do his homework.

This seems like a good time and place to ask. When an LEO asks if you know why you were stopped, shouldn't you play dumb and let him tell you why? I thought confessions only worked out well if you gave them to a priest.

But Gander Mountain WILL price match any other store. They just need to be able to call the store to verify the price.
Dolomite
Didn't know about the price policy, but the only other competitor around here is Bass Pro Shop and they aren't better.

I just absolutely, positively had to have a piece of reloading equipment the other day that was only available at Gouger Mountain. I knew I was in for a screwing and I wasn't disappointed.

Authorities say someone may be impersonating a cop and pulling over drivers to shoot them.

Everyone who knew her will miss her so. Yet she was spared from the cares of this world. May God truly bless and heal the hearts of all who love Evelyn.

Even though I'm all the way over in East TN, I'll be happy to take it. PM coming.

Just because it's sometimes called a scattergun, don't expect the shot to scatter much. Within the confines of your house, you won't be knocking them down two or three at a time. I have a Browning BPS with 20" barrel ion one side of the house and an 18" ithaca Model 37 on the other. They'll be good at defending from a fixed position, IMHO, but I won't go looking for BGs with them. Rather, I'll wait for them to come to me. I have handguns sprinkled throughout the house in various places in case the door gets kicked in, but the shotguns are my Alamo.

It should be said that of the three, only John LeBoutillier is a Republican. Doug Schoen and Pat Cadell are "moderate" Democrats. Fox News is not criticizing the Romney campaign here, only letting these three put forth their opinions. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes in the Romney camp to counter Paul's ambitions. Perhaps a deal is in the works, but I suspect he's merely saving his ammo for Obama and not trying to short-circuit Paul as he did Gingrich and Santorum. Romney seems to be entirely focused on beating Obama and not getting sidetracked with inter-party dustups.

Okay, I'll give a goat and one jack stand.

Call me naive, but I can't imagine that a case would be decided by what kind of ammo a person used irregardless of other facts. "Well, sure the decedent was sticking up the convenience store and pointed his gun at the defendant, who drew his permitted pistol, ordered the decedent to drop his gun and dodged three bullets himself before firing in self defense. But he handloaded his own ammunition, thus ensuring that the decedent would be deader than factory made rounds."

I need to meet up with some of you guys at these shows.
As a newbie to the board, I'd like to know who the TGO members are who have a table at these shows. Why not put a small sign on the table to ID yourself or let us know where you'll be. Even if I'm broke I can still stop and say hello.
Good Westerns to watch

I've been watching Audie Murphy westerns lately. Not the best westerns, but entertaining.
