I will be holding an IDPA SO class on May 16 2020. Start time is 8:00AM, class runs all day. You will need to bring food and water. The student will need to take and pass the online SO test on the IDPA website. 6 month membership is required. This is the rescheduled and moved class for the Green River Gun Club. MTSA will host the long IDPA classifiers for pistol and PCC on May 2nd. Set up is at 7:00, shooters meeting at 8:45 with rounds down range by 9:00. Match fee is $20 for the fist gun, $10 for each additional gun. A separate entry is required for pistol and PCC and for additional guns. I will be running a 92 round fun run after the classifier is finished. No extra charge if you shoot the classifier, $20 for just the fun run. Gallatin Gun Club will host its last indoor match at Sumner Gun and Supply on November 8th. Start time will be 6:00PM, set up at 5:00PM. 70 rounds required. 4 stages, all IDPA rules apply. No match will be held on November 22nd. Steve Murphy will take over for the December 13th match under the Sumner Gun banner. Please give Steve and Doug your same support that you have given me. I want to Thank Sumner Gun for allowing Gallatin Gun IDPA to operate at their range. Gallatin Gun is still looking for land and will most likely reopen as a different Club at an unknown location. I must step down to take care of some health issues for a couple of months. After that I have agreed to take over as match Director over the USPSA matches for MCTS. I will Retire from my job at NES after 38 years on the job on December 1st. I plan on making a full time commitment to the shooting sports sometime next year. Thanks to everyone for a great July match! We had a record number of shooters and received a lot of great feedback on how well everything ran! That was only possible with everyone's support and assistance. August match is set and ready to go. We will have 4 classifier stages and at least 2 field courses (maybe a bonus 3rd). If you are not currently classified, or looking for that next bump, this is a great opportunity to do so. Please come early to help with set up. Over the last few months participation has been great and has led us to be able to shoot more stages at a more efficient rate. We thank you and welcome the continued support. We we do have 60 slots for online registration, so please pre-register if possible. We will accept walk ons as well. Gallatin Gun IDPA will host and indoor low light match on June 14th. Set up is at 5:00PM, match start at 6:00PM. We have classes for any gun with a weapon mounted light (pistol and PCC shoot together), Hand held light and red dot/lasers. We will also have the regular IDPA classes for those that do not have or do not wish to shoot low light. Light classes and regular IDPA will score separately. Round count should be around 70.
