Crimson Trace Laser Grips

Just wanted to give some props to Crimson Trace's customer service department. I bought a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II 1911 a few months ago, and the laser's been acting up, not shining as bright as it should, even after replacing batteries, etc.

Anyway, I emailed them this morning letting them know about the issue, and got a call this afternoon from a gentleman in their service department letting me know they were mailing me a complete laser/grip assembly for the Kimber to replace the one on there, at no charge.

I know it's under warranty but that's pretty fast service, and instead of the typical; have you tried this, have you tried this? They are just assuming it's broken and are replacing it. Pretty cool. Highly recommend dealing with them.

I've had a set on my G19 for a year and they are great. I don't think I have ever changed the battery and they still shine pretty bright.

Same here. I've had a set on my main carry for years and never had any trouble.

That's what I've heard, that they are rock solid bright for a loooong time. I've checked for dirt up in the laser hole, make sure it's turned off when put away, and that nothing in the holster is pressing against the button, but for some reason it goes dim after just sitting there a couple weeks.

The guy w/ Crimson said they have had a couple do this in the past, but it was rare.

I'd really like to have a set for my EMP. I've never owned any but the ones I have seen are nice & I've always heard great things about there customer service. Yours is just another fine example.

There's a Crimson Trace forum which has Crimson Trace engineers posting on it.

They appear to be really easy to talk to.
