The Swiss Vetterli's are a mile stone in arms developement. A twelve shot bolt action repeater that served for twenty years in Swiss service starting in 1868 in differing variation and models. This early cartrige arm is chambered for the .41 caliber Vetterli rimfire cartrige. Ammo for these guns has become a collectors item. Not impossible to find but rare. When found the rimfire ignition is unreliable and the powder suspect. There is good news however, these rifles can be converted to center fire without much fuss. This can be done at home or here. http://gadcustomcartridges.com/#swissrimfire. Centerfire ammo can be bought there as well or you can load your own by forming brass from .348 Winchester brass. Lee dies are available and affordable. Load recipes are available on line, just Google it. I forget the exact bullet diameter required but maybe someone else here can help us out.

Hope this helps!
