  1. If Biden was to find himself there that means he would have the power of incumbancy in his corner when it comes to reelection, which btw would mean he would be elgible for 2 more 4 year terms if he was to take over for Obama for whatever reason. No, we are better off putting up with Obama for the 4 years and getting rid of them together at the same time. No way Biden would be elected if he decides to run coming off of the VP slot. If Obama was gone tommorow and Biden took over he would have 4 years as an incumbent which would be all the much harder for the next Republican to try to overcome, especially if we cant find somebody better than the last two who tried.

  2. You should be able to take to your bank and deposit it into a savings account. I had to do that at First Tennessee. Teller at first did not want to take my change and give me cash. Finally when I pushed her on the issue that it was money and they should have to take it she rolled her eyes and said I could deposit it into my savings account but first they would have to bag it up and send it off to a bigger branch where it would be counted and then deposited which could take 5-7 days, in hopes I would go away. I had 300-400 of change and could not stand the fact of giving 30-40 to coinstar so I went ahead and did the deposit where it showed up in my account in about a week.

  3. Almost everything that goes up in price as fast and as high as AR's have in the past month, hence the word bubble, has crashed just as fast, rather it be tech stocks in the nineties, homes a few years ago, oil, gold and so on. The only way any kind of investment or commodity will rise in price and pretty much stay there is by a slow and steady climb. The market has a way of pulling in all the "suckers" on a fast rising bubble only to pull the rug out from underneath them when profits are taken leaving them holding the bag.

  4. I was using my Homeowners insurance with a seperate policy for the firearms. It was costing me $300 a year for $15,000 coverage and had to have an appraisal done yearly. After doing some research and with some recomendations from the guys over on Gunboards forum,  I have switched to Collectibles Insurance Services. I am now getting the same $15,000 in coverage with a 3% monthly increase in coverage (for additions or appreciation) for $99 a year with no appraisal. You just have to keep an accurate log of your firearms and have to have them stored in a safe over 300lbs. They specialize in nothing but collectibles and firearms.

  5. Is the proposal a 250% tax or to raise it 250%. Big difference, if it is raising 250% now you would be talking a 27.5% tax. Still sucks but it beats the 100% premium we are paying right now. I also will throw the theory out there that if they were to pass the tax it would put an end to the panic buying and in the long run ammo prices may just go down quite siginificantly. Reason being, the only reason people are panic buying is due to uncertainity. If the government would just do what its going to do you would remove the uncertainity and people would stop the panic buying, it would also eliminate the fair weather shooters who are stocking up way beyond their needs from the marketplace. Now after the manufacturers get caught up, the pipepline fills back up and if this is truly a supply and demand driven market prices should fall.

  6. I think only the LEO Glocks come with 3 mags, which if you are LEO you get discounted price on a Glock as well. Same as with being in the GSSF. When you redeem your GSSF coupon they give you a blue labeled LEO box which has the three mags in it, however they remove the third mag for GSSF members.

  7. .The media has whipped no one into a frenzy. The internet forums are more responsible for this mess than anything else. We have no one to blame but ourselves. People are more than happy to post any ridiculous gossip they can find with no regard to where it came from.

I was in Halls Wal Mart yesterday and guy at sporting goods desk took a call. He immediately started laughing at the caller and said "we have 50 on order". A slight pause then said  "Bushmaster, Sig and Colt". Then another slight pause and "I have no idea". Anybody want to guess what the caller was asking, I have a pretty good idea.

I have been shooting for 30+ years, its a great hobby and all but what is going on is bordering on crazyness.  Wasnt even that bad in '94, most likely we can all thank the media for whipping people into a frenzy.
  8. Did anyone see any vendors selling .22 ammuntition that wasnt 10 dollars a box? Thanks

Yesterday there was very little 22lr to be found anywhere. There were 6 bricks of CCI SV on a table that I walked by for $31.95 ea. Figured I would pick one up after I got supplies from David. Well they were gone when I got back. Asked seller if he had anymore and he said no. Went through show and on retiurn trip he had put out 2 more boxes. I snatched them up and another guy asked if he any more. He said no. I told him to comeback in a little while because I figure he was trickiling it out little at a time. Other than that like I said, I didn't see another 5-6 small boxes of 22 in the entire show.

  9. You did not happen to find any CZ452 Americans in 22LR for 250 did you. If so send me a PM as to where please. Just got back from show. Got there at 3:30 it was crowded but no line at the door. Picked up supplies from David and found a Contender 44 Mag barrel for $130. Crowd pretty well thinned out by time I left. Parking lot was as definately as full as I have ever seen it.

  10. I had an issue with my dog over the summer and was forced to go to some obedience classes with her. After owning dogs my entire I scoffed at it and said no way I need obedience classes. Ended up being the best thing I ever did. Try to find a trainer that does the AKC Good Citizen Program. Also try a good pinch collar. Not a choke chain but a pinch collar. They look mid-evil but they work. My wife was dead set against it just by the way it looks, now she is the biggest proponent of them.
