  1. Canonball Run. Theres a movie I wish Netflix would pick up. Haven't seen it since I was a kid
  2. If you end up using pressure treated plan on replacing it in about 6-7 years. The chemicals they are using now have no life to them. Original deck on my house is 15 years old. Looks like crap but it still solid. The new deck I added on 8 years ago has about half the boards completely rotted. I have to tear the whole thing down.
  3. If not better. I would be willing to bet the Finns spent more time trying to build a quality gun, then the Germans or we did just mass producing K98's or 03A3's. The Swiss and Nordic countries took markmanship much more seriously than most.
  4. If you did not know about the differences with the M39 you are not "fairly knowledgeable about Mosins".
  5. First off, he didnt buy the over the internet like he claimed. He just made arrangements to meet and purchase it in a face to face meeting. Why is this any different than buying a gun from a classified ad in the newspaper or off a bulletin board. I dont remember anybody fussing years ago when those were popular methods of putting your firearms up for sale.
  6. The only way to eliminate squeaks in a floor is to glue the plywood to the joists with a construction adhesive like liquid nails. That is the way it SUSPOSED to have been done when it was installed. Glue all joists and the tongue and groove seam as well. If it is already done you are just going to have to live with it.
  7. Its been a while for me to look at M39's as I got mine few years back, but is Pat Burns not selling them anymore?
  8. As a full time seller on ebay I can tell you as a buyer you have nothing to worry about.
  9. Could refer to at least 10 or 12 of the vulture scumbags hanging around out front. I would rather walk the gauntlet of bums downtown by the mission rather than try to carry a gun up the stairs into the Jacobs
  10. Agreed, but he said it was "hot wired". That is a totally different process than removing the lock cylinder or using a pocket knife instead of a key
  11. Can a vehicle even be "hot wired" anymore. If the key is on the column they cant be steered or shifted. When is the last time you saw a key on the dashboard besides the new computer controlled cars which there is no way you are hot wiring those
  12. So what if it happened at a post office? Your gun is your responsibility at all times and to leave it unsecured for any reason in the presence of children places 110% of the blame on you and only you and nobody else. Opening the door to place any responsibilty to anyone else is just wrong
  13. I cant believe anybody would make the leap that this happened because the store was posted and would try to pass any part of the blame onto anybody but the parent. That is as bad, if not worse, than the anti gunners using this to further their agenda by blaming the gun.
  14. Prices only go up on guns that other sellers have for sale. Try selling your own and you will quickly find out that your guns have gone down in value
  15. Wouldn't it be easier to just turn the little button in the middle of the door knob?
  16. I bought expensive and had nothing but trouble. Now I buy cheap and when I have nothing but trouble I wont be as upset.
  17. All I want is a hat and t-shirt with one of logo's on it so I can be the "coolest guy" at the next gun show.
  18. Keep em maxed out that way there is no money available for them to steal.
  19. I am just wondering how many of the parking lot vultures handled that gun before it ever made it into the show. It is kind of amazing it did not go off while the guy was standing in line for 15-30 minutes waiting to get in. I would like to know how many loaded guns at an average show the cops find when checking them in.
  20. I was there and heard it from across the room. Couple of guys standing next to me said "here we go again" when it happened. Did not see anybody panic so I kind of forgot about it. I am waiting for it to happen outside one of these days. Way too many guns out there that are never checked. I get nervous just standing in line looking at all the idiots with fingers on the triggers and closed actions. Just a matter of time before someone is killed and after the last two or three gun shows being a complete waste of time I have come to the decision it aint gonna be me.
  21. Any gun manufactured more than 50 years ago is C&R eligible, and there are a ton of them for sale. Go to any gun show, gunbroker, etc etc. Sounds like your problem is you don't want to pay the going rate.

    Single drill bit

Our local Ace has single numbered drill bits available.
  23. Picked my Triumph at Wal Mart few years back after season. Had it on closeout for $225.
  24. I think you are missing the point. Your wife was looking at a gun and when you turned away she bought it? Where exactly do you find a woman like that? Please, tell us!!!
  25. Picked one up few weeks back when AIM offered them. I cant find anything wrong with it.
