  1. I'm on the hunt for a hunting rifle for my 12 yo Daughter. I bought a Savage 99e in .308. I think it still might be to much. Looking for something in the 6mm range in a light weight rifle. That not so recoil sensitive.

  2. I got the shot in AUGUST as required by the military. I have been down starting on day three with what the Doctor told me was bronchitis. Gave me a antibiotic, cough pearls and Flonase. I think its the flu. Nose will not stop running therefore no sleep. My wife is at the pharmacy now to see what she can get for my nose and sleep. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm the only one in my house of four that is sick.

I have gotten the shot every year at least for the past 20 years that I can remember through the military(required). The last time I had what I thought was the flu was maybe 13 years ago.

  3. I have a Syma X8C. It is DJI sized but way cheaper. Get the hang of it first. I have friends that let there DJI get out of range and it just flew away. That a lot of money to loose or wreck and can't find it. The X5 by the same company is a excellent learner.

  4. Guardsman and Reservist receive a DD214 upon finish of their training on Active duty. This is after basic training and AIT. They also receive one after any period of active duty longer than 30 days. They also receive the title of veteran status after the issue of a favorable DD 214. So there are a lot of 18-20 year olds out there with honorable service by the letter of the law.

That very thing has happened to me. A year after I retired our son was born. I am a full time stay at home dad to a now 10 y/o and parent volunteer at his school. I fix stuff there, make stuff for them and spend a lot of my time there.

I came home from deployment and had my first,  a girl.  She's 12 now and I'm playing Mr. Mom.  I have been gone about half her life.

  6. In my opinion, you're not missing out on much. On high dollar items the PX can be completive. This is according to my wife !! The PX hasn't been truly competitive in years. I also understand that this is for online shopping only and their website is a pain in the but to navigate.  Commissary is another story, use it often.

BTW Ft Bliss has a serious complex for the PX. It includes a outside walking mini mall with a lot  of the stores and restaurants you see off post. But the downside is they are not covered by the tax free exemption.

  7.  I have been running a S&W 5.45 for years.  I love my rifle. I bought a ton of surplus when it was dirt cheap. Ammo today is still cheaper than 5.56.

Im not sure who Huldra is though. For that price you could still get a name brand and some ammo in 5.56.
