been through this 2 times since i got my permit. both were state troopers. one even unloaded my weapon and told me to put it under the seat.. last one was discussed rather warmly after he told me he was not going to write me. would have been rather expensive for what i was doing no excuses.

We're all felon's already. You can't be an adult in this country and do anything of substance without unknowingly violating dozens of laws every year.
i was told years ago by an agent that if he wanted me he would give my name to a guy on a computer and he would bet money that something would come up illegal that i didnt know i was doing.

"Eventually"?? That's already happened Mike. Between federal and state statutes, you likely committed a couple of felonies if you left your house.
this old man was told that by an fbi agent several years ago. said if we want u we can and will find something u are doing illegal

JayC, i dont personnaly think it should prohibit him from owning a firearm. Infact i generally hold that only those convicted of violent offenses should be prohibited. It's just the irony of the situation that i was wanting to point out.
i whole heartedly agree

i think we already have registration. have a friend that bought a handgun 12-15 years ago filled out all the paperwork. kept the firearm about 2 years didnt really like it sold it face to face. about 8 years later it turned up in a shooting in florida. he was questioned extensively by an alphabet agency.

this old man has been stopped 2 times in 17 years for traffic violations. 2 state troopers and one county officer have read me the riot act for carrying cocked and locked and a round in the pipe. one even unloaded my weapon and told me to put it under the seat. he said i couldnt open carry even in my vehicle. good thing about it though they were so upset with the weapon they decided not to write a ticket. both tickets would have been EXPENSIVE.

From what I've been reading the mayor has little control over which weapons are bought and used by the departents. it's up to the commissioner and/or chief of police to set the guidelines. Seems like a lot of political pea-cocking if you ask me.
you are rite BUT if one thinks the head honchos dont stick together one has their head in the sand

i firmly believe it is ALL about control. with 4 more years of this president we aint seen nothing yet. as far as this congress goes what i think is not printable

from what i have read he is really responsible for the hughes amendment. he pulled some of his slimy tricks and worked a vote that would not have passed other wise

if i had an ar for sale and some idiot offered me 2.5 times what i paid for it i would sell and could sleep peacefully ever nite. shame i dont have one for sale it would be gone under those conditions.
