  1. Box, magazines, original grips, papers, round count? Anything more you can say about condition? Sorry, should’ve asked all my questions at once.
  2. Cajunized how? Which parts/pkg and who did the work? Thanks b
  3. I have a chrome zero fail bcg and it's slick. I really like it. I clean after every range session so it probably makes no functional difference.
  4. Ballistic Products. I bought 5k of Winchester LR Magnum.
  5. Me too. Is there a way for us to keep our fellow reloaders apprised of component availability? I scored 2k large rifle magnum primers yesterday at a fair (retail) price. Ballistic Supply. Now all gone. And is there a trade forum dedicated to reloaders? I have several lifetimes of small rifle primers to trade for large rifle.
  6. Lake City makes 3Million small caliber rounds per day. Obama's military cannot absorb it. Every other mfr is running 24/7. Be patient. Let the market recover. Paying .70 per rd of low grade 223 is crazy.
  7. This is great advice and very helpful. I've had the same question.
  8. Roger that. I've learned a lesson.
  9. In last 2 days I've pumped out more than 2k rounds of 260 and 223. Last weekend it was 1k of 308. It's funny, a few months ago I was looking at my components, thinking that I had way too much stuff, wondering why I had bought all this stuff. Now, no ammo anywhere, and no end in sight with all the crazy hoarding, and I have enough ammo to see me through Obama and Feinstein. It sure is nice to have a Dillon 650 and lots of powder, bullets and primers. I got really lucky. It certainly wasn't foresight.
  10. He's making a joke about "progressive press." I've use a Hornady LNL and a Dillon 650. Definitely recommend the Dillon. It's a better machine.
  11. I like the flip up front sight on the 6940 If I change the rails on the 6920, what about the front sight?
  12. Dog, thanks. How important is it to change out rails? I will never hang a laser, light, etc. I want the better rifle. And I like the idea that the 6940 is being discontinued. And it looks really cool. But, I don't know what I'm doing and that is why I need help.
  13. AR novice. Only owned Bushmaster. Have the new gun bug Stuck between a 6920 and a 6940. Accuracy critical. Don't mind price difference. Help? Thanks.
  14. I'm going back to the LNL and get some local help on set-up Will repot back. Thanks to all for the very helpful advice. Mike
  15. Thanks. I watched this video as well as the intructional dvd that came with the press. Everything worked great except the primer feeding system. When I got stuck, I called Hornady CS twice for advice and new parts. Nothing worked. Finally gave up. My big mistake was not sending it back to Hornady and let them set it up, but I didn't know that was an option. Maybe I got a lemon, but too many people rave about this press for me to conclude that it was the machines fault. I'm pretty hopeless with machinery.
  16. If you can read directions, then you can read my first two posts. I've already conceded that it was my fault. I was asking for advice on which progressive reloader to buy.
  17. Brad, what a generous offer. Deal!
  18. First, it was my fault. I'm not mechanically inclined. The feeder always jammed. Primer wouldnt seat then powder spilled out primer hole. disassemble everything, clean it, start over, happens again. Over and over. I broke the primer caddy twice. It was a mess. I was so frustrated. And it was summer. My garage was 150,000 degrees. You get the picture. I was saying lots of bad words.
  19. My RCBS Rockchucker is too slow for the volume of pistol rounds I shoot. I had a bad experience with a Hornady Lock n Load progressive. Never could get primer feed to work. It was my fault and I shoulda let Hornady fix it. But I ran out of patience and sent it back to Cabelas. Again, my mistake. So now I'm starting over. I shoot all calibers of pistol but mostly 45 acp, and lots of .223 and .308. What do I do?
