I'm not sure about polymer lowers on an ar15 I've heard some horror stories. Id like to stick with aluminum.

I'm looking into building a couple or ar15s from the ground up. Anyone have a source for stripped lowers in East TN? Looking to buy a couple of Andersons to get started but having issues finding a shop with any.

Ive been looking into getting a plate carrier and some body armor plates for a shtf situation. Can anyone point me in a certain direction as far as manufacturers and reliability/ergonomics? The only one ive seen at the shows is ar500 but I know there has to be more choices. Looking for at least 3a protection to withstand rifle calibers.

Has anyone had any experience with these handguns? I am thinking about getting into some competition shooting and thought this looked like a good gun. Reviews put it above the m&p pro series.

There are quite a few interesting cartridges on the link posted. Even some electronic primer and paper cartridges. Maybe I'm just too young to remember that stuff.

I go to the Meadowview show every time it passes thru, but I seen an RK poster for the kingsport civic center. I've never been to that show and was wondering about the size of the show. Should I make the trip or just wait for the knoxville show in the next few weeks?

Randall, That would work if I didn't work 7pm to 7 am 5 days a week. I'm not always there to protect my home and belongings.

Can any one reccomend any home security like adt gaurdian fleenor ect ect. I work third shift and my house was broken into the other night. I know they were looking for guns because nothing else was missing. Luckily they only got one because all my other ones were locked up in the safe. They got my nightstand gun. Turns out its a romak 991. But I still helped him out anyways. So I'm not sure how different they are but I figured I'd throw that out too.

Ok so I took on the mak as a project. It turns out it takes single stack mags. This is why it won't accept standard ak mags. Anyone ever seen a single stack ak or have suggestions on getting regulsr mags to fit?

Not really a huge deal but is there any way to get the location part of a profile to show up on the mobile version? I have to switch to full sight every time I want to look at it.

He said it wouldn't accept standard ak mags without filing. It has a 5 and 10 rd mag. I've never owned an ak style rifle before and honestly don't know what I'm looking for when I go to check it out

I'm not familiar with the ak platform. Can this be done while the catch is still in the receiver or will it require disassembly of the rifle?

Anyone know about filing a mag catch to accept standard ak mags? I may be aquiring one of these soon if I can make sure I'm not getting myself in to something out of my league.
