That's certainly true! The geography of NZ is highly appealing to me, and they have fairly liberal gun laws (as far as countries in the pacific go anyway). That said, even in the current political and economic climate, I'll take my stars and stripes any day.

Nice work, sling. My girlfriend has gone from being scared of all my guns, to insisting she wants to know how to safely operate all of them... not quite to the carry stage yet, but hey, I'm working on it.

I lived at an apartment that had a "no firearms" policy in Murfreesboro. I kept a Remington 870 within arms reach of my bed every night. The way I figured it, if any situation that would cause them to find out that I owned a firearm were to arise, chances are that being evicted would be on the bottom of my list of worries. I'd prefer to be an evicted gun owner to being a dead man w/ an intact lease.

Not sure why, but I'm kind of itching for a lever action .30-30. Naturally my first inclination was towards the Winchester 94, but I came across the Mossberg 464 while doing a little googling. Has anyone here had any experience w/ the 464? They're really slick looking lever guns:
