  1. Another reason I went with Glock... I am a pharmacist and Glock allows me to get the LE discount because I have to deal with narcotics, so that makes me a big fan of Glock!

I did not realize that!  I am in pharmacy school so I will definitely have to check that out after I graduate.

  2. I did mine at the Gun Room in Lebanon on a Sunday. The class that they do there on Sundays is faster than the full 8 hour day because you don't take a lunch break and try to limit other breaks. It also had a smaller class size (only 6 others with me) so the wait for the range is really nonexistent. It'd be worth checking on. I did it here because the G&L class had already filled up when I had the opportunity to take mine. Cost is $80 and the instructor is very good.

Bagged my first deer ever on Saturday morning in Culleoka. I was on my aunt and uncle's property in a stand when this guy follwing a doe came up from behind me. I shot him about 30 yards out with my Savage 110 30-06 (recent purchase from Guns and Leather for a steal) with Nikon Prostaff scope. He ran about ten yards before falling.

Hope to get back out soon because there are at least 4 doe on the property, and my aunt says she's spotted a 10-pointer running around too.
  4. Sounds like you don't need much convincing after shooting it. Before I bought my Gen 3 G19 I tried to handle and shoot as many guns I was interested in as possible (M&P, SR9, G19). I shot a friend's SR9c and liked it, fondled and dry fired the M&P and Gen 3 and 4 G19s. The gen 3 felt the best in my hand, and it's a Glock. Love it and recommend it for others to try...but like I said, sounds like you don't need much convincing.

G&L in Hendersonville is who I got mine from, paid in cash so they gave me a little discount, and have since bought other firearms from them.
  5. I have done several programs on edible and medicinal native plants. Two of my Rangers and I are working on a whole series of programs based on self reliance. If there is enough interest I will get one of my Rangers to set up a computer file of some sort with the programs. When we get a schedule of the programs I will post it.

I would definitely be interested as well!

  6. Heck yeah! That gun is clean! Awesome!!!!

With the money you saved you got no excuse for slapping some Barska trash on it. Buy some reasonable quality glass for it. I vote Nikon Prostaff. You won't regret it.

Then work you up a handload and meet one VERY accurate rifle.

I'll post pictures later tonight of the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC that I put on it today. Luckily had some coupons to Dick's Sporting Goods and was able to get it about as cheap as I would anywhere online, plus they used the boresight on it to get it close to zero (hopefully).

There's the new addition...looking forward to getting a scope on and getting it ready for rifle season. I also got to handle the new .45acp XDs while I was there, and I was very impressed with the size and comfort in my hand.

    Thanks for all the help!

  8. A buddy of mine has the SR9c and loves it. I got to shoot it at the range one day, and it is a very smooth gun. Hope you get to send some more rounds down range soon.
