  1. Thats so true.   That great deal now looks like not such a great deal after all.

    Omni polymer lower

Picked up the lower, and he have me a stock and everything else. No cracks or lex on it. Now I just need to find a budged up and test it out. Then again, northside gun shop as a ar pistol upper but putting a stock on it turns it into a SBR, and that sucks :-\
  3. That wolf ammo.... Holy how, even with shipping is worth it. Would it be suspicious if I bought three 1000 round cans?
  4. Looks like that. I'll just wait for the gun smith to diagnose the desease
  5. Anywhere where I can find cheap .223 in bulk? At the moment the best place so far is everything weapons in cool springs since they are about $100 cheaper then the franklin gun shop. I looked on gun broker as well, but the best deal was 1000 rounds of reloaded 5.56 for about $400 but its reloaded.   I am tempted to go buy some of the steel case tula or what ever it is called ammo from walmart, but I wont be able to shoot it at the armory. And its too cold to go enjoy the Charley Haffner memorial range  :-\

    Omni polymer lower

I am going broke. Between college, rifles, and cars. I need to find a cheaper hobby and beat the crap out of my friend who introduced me to firearms... I swear, I must have spend about $11k on cars and guns alone in the past five months. Good thing I am divorced now otherwise I might be typing this from the beyond.

    Omni polymer lower

I might get back with you on that one. Im going to try some configurations with this one tho since all it needs is an upper..... and my friend has a AR 15 pistol that I am dying to modify

    Omni polymer lower

I was going to use it for a test build and try to put my first rifle together for around $500, so if it turns into a dud, I will know what to do the next time.

    Omni polymer lower

$120 for the complete lower and stock....
  10. Anyone know of any place that has these around here? I love my two D100's and would not mind adding two R350's my collection. And what are some good 1911's chambered in 9mm? I had a star a couple years ago, but that was a largo and not a luger so I let it go.  And I know, most people will say there are a million pistols better than a 1911 in 9mm, but I just love the simple and elegant design so much.

    Good Ak 47's

Thanks for all the replies, and I am leaning towards a unconverted saiga as some of you suggested. I have left over stocks and lower parts from my AK 74 and it could make it work. Thanks for the great input tho. And if I had the money to blow, I would get that sweet looking Krebs AK in 5.56, but budget is a bit tight right now.
  12. I have taken the bolt completely apart and cleaned everything. Also took out the firing pin. I just have no idea what each individual part is. Might have to go get a poster or something with all the different parts.
  13. I have no deal what a properly place gas key looks like, my friend check it and it seemed fine. He even check the gas pipe to make sure it wasnt clogged. The only modifications to the rifle was a front tac rail and a red do. Other than that, the lower and the upper are both original on that rifle. I also did not try different uppers and lowers with it.
  14. Mostly federal, only shot brass out of it.   We tried 6 different mags so far. From all metal to polymers and they all performed the same. All the mags worked fine on his rifle but refused to chamber the next round on mine.
  15. I am trying. This is my first ar and I am new to all the parts. I took it to a friend and he completely stripped it down, Saw how everything was spotless, added more oil to a few areas that I didnt oil enought, and the damn thing still woudnt chamber the next round. We check the gas block and everything seemed alright. He even check if the barrel was seated properly. Hes taking it to a gunsmith for me. I still need to learn how to break down an AK and a C93... Doing one thing at a time.   And we tried a 3 different mags that he had and the shells ejected normally, but it still would not feed the next round.

    CZ reliability?

Even as a .32? Might pick this one up over the FEG 63 then.

    Good Ak 47's

I am getting so lost. Avoid first gens, and what else? I am really happy with the overall help, but its only making things more confusing.

    CZ reliability?

What about the CZ 70, is that one just as reliable or a pass since its a .32?

    Makarovs

That mostly killed my wanting that pistol. Might find a .380 version of it or look for an actual makarov.
  20. I did find a C93 there. But ammo was priced a bit much. Thanks for the heads up, now I have a chance to go pick up a FEG.

    Makarovs

Thank for the info. Ill have to pick up one and try it out myself.

    Makarovs

So, they arent makarov's, just chambered in 9mm makarov. Why do people refer them as makarov's then?

    Makarovs

I know they are good pistols, but anyone know anything about the Hungarian FEG's? As far as makarov;s go, they look pretty sweet. If the FEG are just like the russian ones, I may look at picking up two of them. Just asking for feed back from someone who might own one or a few.

    Good Ak 47's

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=384528072   I know it ended, but I found a couple more at around that price and am wondering if they are good buys, or avoid.
