1.
Since it was the HWY Patrol what I was sharing is irrelevant now. It is an officers discretion to arrest or not. Even for the most minor TCA codes a ticket is issued in leu of arrest anyway. What I was saying as a city officer was our city judge could not issue a warrant for FTA and could only send paperwork into the state to revoke a license.
Thanks Patton. I read your earlier your reply and it helped me settle a bit. :) I reached out to a family friend who is a circuit judge in the next county, she was very kind and said not to worry. She said they usually give a full thirty days before anything although some officers set court much earlier. It's to get traffic school lined up. She said I may have to pay a late fee, but maybe not since it was technically an hour and 45 minutes over the 30 day window. So I am home for the weekend not tempting and fate and will call Monday. Thank you ALL so much! Lesson LEARNED! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 2.
Did you call the sheriff's office? Your driving record isn't the issue at this point. As I mentioned earlier, the failure to appear is a SEPARATE issue. The warrant (if there even is one) is because you did not appear as required and is not really related to the ticket itself. Driving on a suspended license isn't a big deal and probably wouldn't show up until the State (on the court) processes it. On the other hand, a bench warrant is immediate add would be in LEO system much faster. Hopefully, no warrant was issued for the FTA at all. But you need to be trying to find out if there's a warrant out, not the status of your license.
Yes I called last night they didn't know anything but referred me to the HWY patrol who said not to worry about it (bc the paperwork would t be processes that quickly) and to call on Mon. It might help or it might not if they issued a warrant, that depends on the officer and circumstances.
Good point! I just did that so I have the receipt printed, the "valid" status of my DL from tn.gov, and my driving record which doesn't show the ticket yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 4. It is 230 in the morning and I am wide eyed worried. My children are with their grandparents, I leave in the morning to get them. I am so fearful of driving on a suspended license/having a warrant out/anything and getting pulled over with my babies in the vehicle. I logged into tn.gov to pay a reinstatement fee. It says my status is valid. So I paid the $7 to pull my driving record and the ticket is not on there yet. Do either of those things mean anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 5.
I did the same thing back in college, got a ticket in Kentucky and forgot about it completely... Months later rummaging I happened upon the ticket and called the court clerk. They told me I had a warrant out and had luckily not been pulled over in the meantime. They let me pay the ticket and it went away. All they care about is the money.
Well that is good at least. I will pay what I owe to make them/it go away. (I have paid the original amount- don't mind to pay the extra). Although I think 30 days (how long it's been) IS a little cray cray. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 6.
The judge could issue a Bench Warrant. I don't know how it may effect anything. It will probably only be a warrant on record and GA probably won't go though with extradition over it. After the payment clears, you will need to make sure they don't keep a active warrant out for you. However if still on your record, if you get stopped in TN it may come up on a road side background check, which then I would bet the officer would be less likely to give you a warning.
Thanks for the info. It was in Tennesee, Decatur Co, which is just a few counties over from me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 7. I am hoping someone here will know what happens/what I should do. I got a speeding ticket May 21 in Decatur Co. 70 in a 55 I think. My little boy had to pee. I have no tickets citations etc on my record. I sat down to pay bills today and guess what- court was June 16th!! I quickly logged in and paid it online but it is the weekend and I am freaking out. Do they suspend your license? Warrant out for arrest? The worst part? I am going to get my MP shield on Monday and am worried it will mess up my background check!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 8. I carry quite rarely. I still have not gotten over the fear of a loaded weapon around the two under 5 yoa children. I keep a loaded weapon with me in a safe in the car, in a hotel, at home on each level, and always next to the bed. I carry when we are going in and out of places:getting gas etc while traveling, and when we are outside due to the critters creeping up on the land more and more (and said children playing). 9.
Unless there is a loved one upstairs who I need to defend, I'm not going up there after a bad guy. I'll be behind cover on the ground floor waiting for the police to arrive or for the intruder to enter the funnel of the stairs, coming towards me.
Pretty much that. Unless my babies are upstairs then crazy mama bear would kick in and I'd be going to get my babies. If such a scenario presented a need to use the weapon to get my babies then it happens that way, but if I can get said babies and get back to the safe area then that is preferred. 10. I will probably start with the 9 and go from there. If there are no major pros for the .40 caliber. The husband shoots a 9mm so we keep ammo streamlined that way. I believe it is an extra round as well ? Did I read that correctly? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 11. Well I finally put one in my hands today. I couldn't do the safety :( with my thumb. For anyone reading this thread later- please note that that is due to my particular joint issues. That safety is nice and larger and looks like it would be easy peasy. My thumb just doesn't go that way. I was however able to easily perform all necessary actions w the MP Shield. I really loved the feel of that gun w the extended magazine. I think the difference in my ability to flip the safety over is bc I bend my thumb w the MP somehow and the Sig's I my thumb remained straight. At any rate if anyone is close to Savannah TN, Sure Match has the 938 and the 238. The 938 was $659. The MP 9mm and .40 are $399. Now I must decide between the 9 and the 40. Thanks so much everyone!! 12. I have been wanting to leave FB for a while now but we have been with them our entire lives, as both our parents had FB. I hope they send me a letter like that, then maybe I can get the husband to jump ship. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 13. I am going to look at them both. If I find a deal on one I will get that one. If it is a 238 and I feel like I can take more I will try to find a 938 and see or vice versa. These weapons being the same overall, I am good with changing them up somewhat...muscle memory and all. And it's not like they are in low demand. I feel confident in being able to sell them. So at this point I will just see what comes my way and go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Most people are shot with 22's
See, I would love to go back in time in see if they wound up w me in a high level trauma ICU or if they stopped at the floor. Which ones we lost vs didn't etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
