The first time I used a boar snake It kind of scared me. Go ahead and pull it. It'll go through no worries.

You are running it from the chamber end up to the muzzle, correct?

Don't run it through dry either.  Put some Hoppes or similar on the snake before pulling through.  When clean, put some gun oil on it for the last pull through.  This will help preserve the barrel.

The reason for going from the chamber end as Redd33 stated is to protect the crown of the barrel.  This is true of any firearm.

    Good luck.

With a snake it does not matter, the weight is not forced into the bore, and there is nothing that could bang into the crown.

There's no requirement to show evidence that you engraved the item.  You just get railroaded for it if the ATF ever finds out and prosecutes you.  Kind of like how the IRS does that if your math doesn't match their math when you pay taxes.

To note, you can engrave something for NFA purposes and then never actually use it for NFA purposes and there is no harm, no foul.  It doesn't become an NFA item until it is configured as one and then it has to be registered, engraved, blah blah blah.

If we don't get rid of the NFA during this Trump Administration, we as gun owners will be proven to be morons.

I see no chance they get rid of the NFA, they screwed up the Hearing Protection and Short Act already.  Instead of taking silencers and SBRs out of the NFA, they are writing it up as no tax on those items, but everything else stays.

    Yes.

This article is spot-on.  It kind of sucks that it's from Silencer Central since they are currently getting evisscerated by the 2A community over their stance on the Hearing Protection Act, but it's still good info.

Thought so, I was surprised they didn't make me do that on the four I had done when the ATF was trying to do their brace rule.

I have a Baofang and was going to get my HAM license because I thought it necessary.   I have a house just outside of Nashville and have yet to hear any one of the repeaters transmit anything.   Not a lot going on as far as I can tell, so I'm not really excited about anything.  In the time of strife, when SHTF, no one will care if you're licensed or not.

I got a couple Baofengs for bug-out, bug-in use, a UV-5R, and an AR-5RM both loaded with all the freqs I could possibly need. I have my GMRS license so I can use some of my radios for longer, short range use, although I know I can't transmit on HAM freqs, I can listen, and as you stated, in an emergency getting in trouble for transmitting on a HAM freq would be the least of your worries.

Where we live near Tullahoma the woods are polluted with does.

To be clear, my understanding was that all antlerless taking was now public land only.

If I'm mistaken I welcome correction.

    D.

You are in unit 3, three does a day are allowed in 1,2, and 3, and two bucks, only one per day allowed.  Should be the same next season.

  6. I'm not buying the suicide by pills thing, pills don't act that fast, so why would they be scattered all around her as if she died on her feet?  They say she had been dead for some time, even had her hands start mummifying.   Also, the door was open, enough to have one dog go outside, while another was just running around the house, as if someone just left without closing it behind them.
