[MCTS - Steel Challenge 12-17-2016]

Music City Tactical Shooters will be holding a Steel Challenge match on, 12-17-16 at our outdoor facilities in Dickson, TN. 

Shooters meeting at 8:45am, rounds downrange at 9am.  We will host 5 stages with a minimum of 125 pistol or rimfire rounds.  

Steel Challenge tests your grip, draw, transitions and speed.  There are 5 strings per stage.  Rimfire pistols and rifles will start at the low ready.  Pistol Caliber Carbine is acceptable for this event.

We offer a safe and fun event.  New shooters always welcome.  Great for kids, ladies and any/all skill level competitors within a relaxed shooting atmosphere.

Some guys didn't finish and I apologize for running late.

Not funny John.  You are certainly great at messing with me in USPSA stages.  One barrel hit will throw off things and forget targets.  That threw off the mental focus the rest of the day thus messing up EVERY stage there after.  Great stages.

 

FYI:  Two people left early due to constant equipment problems.  We got a late start cause no one brought Girl Scout juice for the fire.  It was COLD!

Setup begins at 7am, shooters meeting at 8:45, rounds downrange at 9am.  We will have 5 fun and challenging stages.

We offer a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. New shooters are always welcome. We offer instruction and coaching during the match when requested. You will need a pistol, a holster, a mag carrier and 2 or 3 magazines. Pistol Caliber Carbine may also be used. Come out and bring your friends and have some fun.

We have steel targets and prefer you not leaving the match a lot less financially empty.  There is no carbine (rifle caliber) in Defensive Carbine & Action Pistol Society yet.

Or....., can we just shoot Not For Competition with whatever we bring?   

Less restrictive but more fun than IDPA.  Every type of gun fits into a scoreable division.

 

If you can conceai it, it is good for this sport.  Pistol Caliber Carbine division no concealment needed.

Times are approx: Setup begins at 5:15 PM, shooters meeting at 6:00, rounds downrange at 6:15 pm(or when it is dark).  We will have 5 fun and challenging stages.  Glow stick is required.

Rimfire Pistol -
Rimfire Open: This is the Rimfire race division. All legal rimfire firearms are allowed. Optics and Compensators are
specifically allowed.
Rimfire Iron Sights: Any Iron-sighted rimfire pistols without a compensator, barrel ports or optic sights. Fiber-optic
sight inserts are specifically allowed.

Center Fire Pistol -
Open: This is the race division! All legal firearms are allowed. Optics, Compensators, and any safe
holster/position are specifically allowed.
Limited: Any iron-sighted pistol without a compensator, barrel ports, or optical sight.  Fiber optic inserts are specifically allowed.
Production: Any double action or safe action pistol on the USPSA Production gun list. No Race holsters allowed.

Single Stack: Will be governed by the criteria in the USPSA handgun rule book. i.e. 1911 models only, no race holsters allowed.

Revolver: Any iron sighted revolver without a compensator, barrel ports or optical sight. Fiber optic inserts are
specifically allowed. No barrel length or holster restrictions.
No restrictions for maximum rounds.
