Finally got a chance to get to the range!! Only had an hr, but was able to burn thru 200 rds of 115 gr Blazer with no issues! After some slow-fired grouping and sight adjustments at 7' and 21', put up a new target at 21' and drilled "as fast as you can" chest and head shots; 50 and 45 rds, respectively. Those extra mags made this exercise a breeze! So far, I'm very pleased with my MPX! Familiar AR-type controls! Ambidextrous safety, bolt, & mag release are a big plus for me! (I'm a leftie.) Trigger break clean. Mags lock securely. Loading them to the full 30 rds really works the thumbs, but it's a blast to empty them down range!![emoji1] Only issue for me is firing this type weapon without a stock. Nothing a Form 1 can't fix though![emoji6] For now, the sling definitely helps keep it steady. I'm looking for a good, inexpensive red dot sight before my next range visit. Considering a Bushnell TRS-25. Any other suggestions? Thanks

As long as it's an MPX, the rear will be the same... Has a "rail" which the collapsible/folding stock or folding Sig Brace attaches to. Pretty convenient, but limits your options to Sig-proprietary devices only at this time!

Really?! Wasn't aware of that! I now have three mags, but you can never have too many![emoji1]

Thanks! Two extra mags were included with my purchase, but I've seen them priced between $70-$100 each!!

Neither. Just standard pistol without Sig brace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[emoji1] I didn't actually notice that until after uploading the pic! Wife would kill me if I scratched the table, so the newspaper was a "self-preservation" measure![emoji6]

Can hardly wait to get to range!! Added MAGPUL AFG for comfort. Future additions will be optics, a suppressor (Octane 9 HD), and finally SBR with a collapsible stock![emoji39] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I saw one that "Short Barrel Shepard" was firing with a SIG Brace on it. Unfortunately, he reported that he removed the brace because it was slightly too large for the buffer tube. Not sure if he or any others have had any further success with the brace. The .45 ACP is tempting me also, especially since Gun Broker has one for only $20 more than the 9mm version!
  10. I've "watched" a couple on Gun Broker, trying to gauge asking/winning bid prices. They definitely have the best prices I've found so far. Since I fire left-handed, I like that you can change the ejection port! Thanks for the "buy in"!
  11. Sorry about that... Not a big "social media" guy and still figuring my way around how to post things... I've been checking out the TNW Firearms site for a few days now and was more interested in any "hand on experience" anyone could provide. Thanks.
  12. Anyone have any experiences/opinions on this product from TNW Firearms? I've been toying with the idea of adding one (9mm) to the collective. Thanks in advance!

    New range toy

Very Nice!!! I found myself at the CMMG & SIG sites quite a few times during the recent NRA event in Nashville, salivating over their 9mm offerings!!
  14. Hello All, Just ran across this site while searching for other information. Can't believe I haven't run across it before!! What a GREAT site!! Born and raised in Mississippi, but returned to Clarksville (from Alaska) after retiring from the Army with 29 years of service. Served nearly 20 of those years with the 101st, so Clarksville has been home for quite a while. Own a few handguns, but always looking for that next purchase! My current "side piece" is a Kahr CW45. When I can pull myself from searching for my next wish list purchase, I enjoy sending rounds down range at the Shell Shop in Hopkinsville, KY. Other than sending rounds down range, my other interests are working out and running. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hi". "Air Assault!!!"
