I haven't field stripped the second one yet, but did take the spring and follower out and removed the barrel. Only one follower, but there is something stopping the rounds.

Still no word from mossberg.
Gun is supposed to hold 7 +1 only able to fit 5 in the tube.
Worst part is it ejects the rounds out the back instead of into the chamber.

I'd trade the packaged entrees and rice meals for hot dogs and smores. No bacon and eggs for breakfast? Assuming you'll have a campfire, can't go camping w/o smores...
No liquid fuel? Any reason for that? All my stuff is old and runs on Coleman fuel.
Guess they are scared of fires? No good reason for it they just don't allow it. Thought that was weird too.
I've got pancakes for breakfast, and the pack leader is supposed to be bringing the dogs.
You're right though better pick up some smores...may keep them scouts from turning to cannibalism lol.

Well I picked up a Mossberg 930SX a few weeks ago. Figured for the money it would be a nice 3 gun shotty and double for HD.
Got the first one in and it had the canted front sight, finish was off in places, rail and rear peep were loose, and the bolt would bind on the shell lifter. Figured that jewel was made on a Friday, so I sent it back.
Got the replacement in today. Fit and finish are much better. BUT I still have the stupid bolt binding issue.
I sent Mossberg a message directly on this one, so i'll keep you updated on their service.
Check out the video. I just push the button to let it fly. It jams up about once out of every 4-6 times.

So I just finished packing for Friday...temps are going to reach down to 38 degrees but the highs are going to 67 according to the weather bug. I realize this is way more stuff than we would need for a month in the woods, but I figure if there's room in the truck bring it....

One of my memories of scout camp was how crappy the food at Davy Crockett was!
On our first trip, Pops brought a box of nabs along and it kept a few of us from starving...Be sure to bring lots of extra snacks.
I'm going on the first trip with my cub scout this weekend. I plan on packing heavy since you can drive to the camp site. The more comfortable he is the more likely he will stick with it. I'm taking a box of junk food, a platoon sized first aid kit, and plenty of bug dope.
Campmor is a great website for getting deals on gear. Especially if you don't mind an ugly color.
I'll try to throw up a post Monday on what I took vs what was actually used.

I dropped the at home service and stuck with streaming. But the selection is pretty lacking. Take the Starz movies out and i'm not sure streaming will be worth $10 a month...

Sure thing, As posted before RedJacket will whip you one right up. .308 Marlin Express ammo, 26" Krieger barrel, and a picatinny rail. You'll be acing Zombie indians out to 1000 meters! Would only cost you around $2500 or so...

GLOCK Inc. announces that it is voluntarily exchanging the recoil spring assembly (RSA) on its new Gen4 pistols shipped since August, 2009, to ensure each pistol's performance meets the company's demanding standards. With several variations of the RSA in the market today, GLOCK's goal with this voluntary exchange is to standardize the RSA to gain the best possible performance in each pistol.
GLOCK's product development team has modified various elements of the RSA. The new RSA compensates for all design modifications made to the Gen4 and allows the pistols to function up to GLOCK's rigid quality standards and reliability goals.
Consumers should note that Gen4 G26 and G27 models will not require a modified recoil spring.
"We are moving proactively and quickly to standardize this part of the pistol. This is a voluntary exchange specifically for the new Gen4 models," said Gary Fletcher Vice President GLOCK Inc. "We have developed a program for consumers to send in their existing recoil spring assemblies and receive new ones at no cost."
The replacement of the Gen4 pistol RSA can be performed as part of the regular field-strip process; consumers do not need to take the Gen4 pistol to an armorer. Consumer's wishing to participate in the exchange program are urged to call 1-877-745-8523 to order their new recoil spring.

Yeah, surprisingly knife laws in TN are more stringent than gun laws. Always struck me funny, how with a HCP I can carry my choice of handgun, but a ESEE 5 is gonna get me in trouble?

I have an FFL 01, and here's where I got burnt on a couple of deals.
I purchased the following:
Taurus 85
Sig 522
Sig 556 classic
From wholesale distributors.
Then the manufacturer dropped their price. So for example the Sig 556 that I paid appx $1100 for wholesale was dropped to $975 retail via buds...with free shipping...and no tax. I don't see how full time gunshops stay in business.
Used guns don't seem to be moving at all. Good old fashioned horse trading seems like the best option at this point since cash is hard to come by these days...

Still no response to email.
Had to call finally got through and shotty is shipping back for repairs today. They advise 12 days from arrival.
