  1. thank you!

the rails are Samson, the carrier is (Adams Arms) there version of a 7.2 oz low mass. and on the piston gun no gas goes into the action.

  2. 1) Because I read that it would help lessen recoil and help with faster follow-up shots (I originally planned this for 3-gun)

    2) About the 4 o'clock and roughly 3 or 4 feet away.  No stovepipes.

    3) Yes, it has always locked back.

this nothing to do about issue and I hope it's fixed.

but the most common setup for 3 gun is light/low mass not heavy. with that said, it's all in the eye of the shooter.

  3. Plan on shooting out to 300 yds.

Dont plan on what the small bay clubs set for 3 gun.

Plan for the matches you'll shoot where you have multiple targets from 200-300.

most popular glass is the Vortex HD 1-6 @ about $1300.

true, but I have been trying hard to get him and spiffy to the rock, and do not want to scare them off. :) but I am sure they ain't scared.

have not got to play with vortex, but did get to play with J. Parkers Bushnell's set up, nice!

  4. on average for our area, what would be roughly the most distance out on a 3 gun? another idea i had was using the cog with an add on small red dot at 45 degrees or even iron at 45 like the duecke system,I found duecke knock offs for 38 bucks online and have used them with success......at 200 yds....at a 45 deg angle.....

that would put u into open (red dot). but u can use irons at 45 in any class. most clubs a 100 or less

  5. how bout this: 976.00 at grabagun.com for the 21 in model  arghhhhh

the barrel clamp is Dave's metal works and it looks like the tube is also. just fyi found on SSI looking for something else.

  6. the CZ 75B-SA to me is a what I called a poor man's 1911 we had one for a few years. the lock up is just like a 1911 and works from the lock and cocked position. the reason I called it a poor man's1911 is because it cost about half as much. and yes as long as you use brass ammo, 100%

  7. Thanks on the White Oak Armament recommendation.  I was looking at their offering.  Price is good.

I believe they are using a 1-7 twist.  Most of the other barrels I was looking at are utilizing a 1-8 twist.  Do you feel the 1-7 twist will be an issue when just plinking away now and again with everyday off the shelf 55gr ammo, especially when I won't be shooting at any great distance?

no not all, my 1 x 7 shot 55 grain ammo 90% of the time. only used the 77 on long range stages, now if you want to shoot say 45 grain bullet then 1-8.

  8. I guess I need to add that up till last year I would "open carry" a long gun several times a year, either by walking down the road to show off a new toy or per the land owner's request park up on top the hill and hunt back 50 that you had to walk too. so I would be walking down a public road ready to hunt and mostly with my AR. it was about 3/8 of a mile.

I fully support the 2nd, but I did vote NO. because, just like the guy last year or so, the guy who went for a walk in a public park with a AK pistol on his back for the attention. (is what I think).

every few months it seems there someone's pistol accidently going off in there pocket at Wal-Mart, if that was to happen with a center fire rifle WOW bullet splatter hurts and will draw blood. then there will people claiming they got shot just trying to shop, and all it would be is splatter. the press would have a field day. and I do not think we anymore bad press.

    just me

  9.  I wish there would be a day where one could walk into a store with a rifle or pistol exposed and not a person would a bat an eye but alas, that time has yet to reveal itself.

there was and it gone. when I was a kid 12, 13 & 14. my parents would take me to the gray hound bus station with my 22 mag level action. in a soft case in the seat with me and I rode the bus about 125 miles where my grandfather would pick me up to go to deer camp and of course back home again. no one ever looked twice and never saw any L.E. there was a DQ at the stop and I could just walk in.

also everyone had guns in window rack, when I got old enough so did I, but never left them over night. I never had one stolen or knew of anyone that did. but that was years ago. when a long gun was a bolt, lever etc. I would not do that today, because I am sure it would come up missing.

this was a time before the evil black rifle and AK.
