That's not a racist remark, it's a slight against the media and their proclivity to push a narrative.

All white people are all evil racist.

Anything bad a person of color does is because of the evil white man.

Anything good a person of color does is in spite of the evil white man.

That is in fact racist to all parties involved. We are all capable of evil. It shouldn't be sugar coated or covered differently just because of one's race.

Kyle was called a white supremacist by the government and media all the way up to the president without a shred of evidence. If you even hint that about the Christmas parade driver, you'll be labeled a white supremacist even if you're black.

Looks like you are pushing a racist narrative.

I don't believe Biden called that child a racist, but rather, stated that some racists descended to Kenosha in response to the riots.

    Please try to be accurate.

  2. What caught my attention was this quote:

I handed her her crazy sauce,” Murrell said. “I’m about to have her leave, walking out. He comes in, the gun is pointed like this, held down a little bit. Then I look at it. My eyes drop to the gun. And he literally pulls it up, points it at me, semi-points at her, and says, ‘Where is my pizza? I want my pizza now.'”

    I blame the crazy sauce...

You didn't like the verdict.  We get it.

I haven't said a thing about the verdict.

I do get that it makes you want to run around and shoot guns in the air like a rootin' tootin' Yosemite Sam at a Taliban wedding party, but, whatever...

What I didn't like was closeted racist remarks that driver of  parade crash "wasn't white".

Seems like BLM & ANTIFA are running late to start the protest. Oh, the driver wasn't white. Never mind.

Was the perp a police officer? If not, it might be best to skip the hyperbole and focus on the Kyle Rittenhouse float that escaped unscathed...

  5. Give her time, love and security and you'll have a true friend for life.

She looks like a nice pup who has probably experienced some terrible things. I hope you can get her calmed down a bit and get her to a vet. She will certainly need heartworm and tick prevention.

Oh, major props on taking her in!

I ordered a new Ford Maverick truck a couple of months ago. It is in transit and should be here next week. I could have ordered it in a hybrid that gets 42 MPG. I paid $1,100.00 extra to get it with a standard gasoline engine instead of the hybrid. I expect that one day electric automobiles will be the norm but at 70 years of age, I doubt that I will be here to see that day. I think electric cars are still very much in the experimental stage and I will let someone else do the experimenting.

Congratulations. I'm interested in hearing about the Maverick after it arrives.

  7. An electric motor can put the power to the wheels, quickly.  I think this will be a great option in the very near future.

I say this being pretty old-school when it comes to cars . I still drive manual transmission cars and love to wind the gears out.

If it's the local black bears you're worried about, bear spray is a way better choice than a handgun. It's highly effective against them and you'll almost certainly never need it. Black bears are very rarely aggressive towards people. something like 60'ish people killed in the past 100+ years by them.

If it's western Grizzlies, bear spray backed up by the biggest hand cannon (.500 or .454 Casull come to mind) I can manage and a paid up life insurance policy would be the way I'd go.

For the 2-legged critters, carry what you always carry. An axe murderer on a trail is the same as an axe murderer in town.

    I concur, 100%.

Bear spray has been shown to be pretty effective against most anything and is my first choice!

I would also suggest something lightweight that you don't mind getting wet.  I  pack a Ruger 9mm that was cheap and replaceable.

  9. One of several antiques that I wouldn't dare fire.

I have an old Sears (Barker) side-by-side double barrel in 16 gauge whose primary role is dust collection - it was my grandfather's. Follow that with a Stevens .22 scout with falling breech block. It was my uncles and has several notches in the stock.

Please don't.  There are too many dogs in this world as it is that can't be taken care of.  Breeding mutts to make a few bucks is a poor choice.  You may not like to think of yourself as a puppy mill, but responsible breeders don't buy random dogs and say "I can breed this with whatever I have".

    Be more responsible than that.

Indeed, from what I have heard, it is usually the "wildcat" backyard breeders (not professional breeders) who contribute most to the unwanted dog population.

My avatar is an owner-surrender Golden/Doberman mix who spent 6 months in jail before I found her.  My other girl was found wandering the streets of Tuscaloosa; it appeared she had been a breeder dog and probably never out of her cage, either.

Well, one if the three should technically be prohibitive as it is functionally equivalent to answering yes to question 11f regarding being adjudicated as mentally defective.

The "pursuit of happiness" is a right in the the US unless it infringes upon others. Perhaps if we were in China or Afghanistan you'd have a point.

  12. I put on a mask whenever possible; I have found it improves my appearance 🙂

I'm not in the high risk group but plan on a booster in the next month or so.

I carry a gun to protect myself and others.  Similarly, I get vaccinated to protect myself and wear a mask to protect others.

WOW , thats like the car and truck business now. Toyota Trucks are marked up $5000 at some dealerships.  I can wait thats for sure !  And this High Power , I am on the fence about it. I love me some all steel pistols. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I have a CZ75 Single Action Only pistol. I am not sure I can justify getting another all steel 9mm at that price. UNLESS you guys can give me reasons about why I should get one ? LOL

That CZ looks a bit lonely. Maybe you need another one? How about a retro 😉

Does anybody know, why are movie guns that fire blanks, not made in a way to only accept blank cartridges? Why isn't there a special caliber just for blanks that all prop guns use? Or make the blanks in such a way that only they can fit in the chamber. Seems like a better solution to this kind of problem. Only reason I can think of is its just easier to go down to the local gun store and get whatever you need, but in a movie with a several million dollar budget, that excuse shouldn't fly.

There ought to be a law.

Well, in many instances, specific gun models are in movies for product placement by the manufacturers (although this probably isn't the case for the SA revolver in this matter).

    https://www.kcrw.com/culture/shows/design-and-architecture/america-is-the-gun-2013-do-movies-provide-the-branding

Thus, manufacturers who benefit from this type of advertising could simply provide non-firing replicas.

  15. Yes, put a set of those Michelins on my wife's car last year and they are really extremely nice tires!  They cut through standing water like a hot knife in butter (no hydroplaning) and work well in snow (they are snow rated). Even better, they handle precisely on dry roads, too. Indeed, these are some of the best performance tires I have used (I have had Continentals; Bridgestone Potenzas on sporty cars in the past).

They do have a slight bit of road noise but their comfort, performance and handling have been far better than I expected and probably rank as the top touring tire I have used.  I highly recommend.

Yes, they are a little pricey, but my wife and I have been very pleased with this set.

I believe you are correct. He isn't the only one reading these posts, however.

You mean the 5 posts of anti-vax propaganda you rudely inserted into a thread commemorating the passing of a military leader and former Secretary of State?

To parse it terms you applied to the UT fans at the Ole Miss game, "That was a trashy, despicable display".

An entire thread is dedicated to COVID. You ought to confine your wild, unsubstantiated ideas on that topic, there.
