Thanks for the info. I think I might try to make some leather loops and mount them on kydex tabs for a tuckable best of both worlds option.

That's pretty! I've been fooling around with metal clips and kydex J-hooks but after seeing that I think I need to do some more belt loops. Are those loops detachable?

"..... I was presently surprised...".
Is that a nod to the Chinese restaurant? Sorry I couldn't resist.

Its not always what it seams and especially what the media shows.
Wow. I thought it was pretty clear that Zimmerman was in the wrong but after reading all of that I have to withhold judgment. I hope whatever really happened that justice is done. That's what I get for believing what I see on the news.

How is this a shake-down by NYC? She broke their law, plain and simple. There is no reason why a 39 year old professional woman with a carry permit since 2008 should be excused from knowing where she can or cannot take her firearm. She's very lucky that she didn't end up serving a jail sentence in New York as a result of this.
Sometimes it still really surprises me that people treat their carry weapon like a forgotten pack of gum, stuffed down inside their purse or briefcase. If you carry the thing in the manner that common sense dictates is the most prudent way of doing so -- on your person -- then you generally don't forget that you had it stuffed down into some dark recess out of sight and out of mind.
It's like some people get their carry permit, get a gun, shove it into their daily travel kit an then forget about it entirely. Like just having it is some sort of magical talisman that will ward off evil or "make them prepared".
I'll donate $20 to get her some real defensive handgun training, not another gun that she'll forget she's carrying.
Oh, I think it's crap too... I just know that when you're in Rome, you have to do as the Romans.
I wanted to "like" these but I just realized that TGO David is unlikable! =)

Not my usual thing, but I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy.
The first 2 were OK...the third was mediocre.
The movie comes out next month. For me, the casting looks about perfect.
I'll second this series. I read them with my 12 year old daughter and couldn't put them down. It also opened up some discussion about gun control an other weighty issues. And yes I'm looking forward to he movie.

The screen shot looks like an evil villain. I thought it was from a movie or something.

Cool man. I hope you enjoy it as much as I like the Sig. If I ever join the Glock party that would be my choice as well.

That holster looks great! I've done a few 'DIY' leather holsters, myself, and enjoy it. Feels good to carry in a holster you made, yourself, for a fraction of what buying one would cost.
Thanks JAB. Yeah I enjoy making them as much as using them.

I got to take it to the range to the range today, I love it! I'll blame the cold for that one shot.

Wow that thing looks awesome!

Do you miss it yet Scott?

Thanks to an awesome deal from Star1021Scott I'm the proud new owner of this fine Sig229 in 9mm. Of course such a fine weapon needs a nice new holster for it so here's my latest. Hope you guys like em, I sure do!

Glamor shot #1
It's like they were made for each other...oh wait, they were!

I ordered a couple to put away for stocking stuffers although I may keep one.
-
Are they trying to interfere with voting!?
-
I did what everyone else did. I checked in repeatedly every five minutes to see if TGO was back up! I missed you. Never leave me again.

This is a very heavy duty belt that also comes in brown....
I have a couple and don't see them wearing out anytime soon.
This is my recommendation too. I have both black and brown. Price is right and they do a great job. Make sure to measure your waist and order from that measurement. Most of our pants are vanity sized and not the actual waist size. These belts are measured in inches not pant size. Don't forget to allow an extra inch or two for the gun as well if going IWB. Also these are made in America!

You are an abomination! Just kidding. I started out as a lefty but my elementary school teacher forced me to write with my other hand. Now my handwriting still stinks and I can't do much with my left hand. You should buy the vest and wear it inside out!

In this one, he points the gun at his face to show off the "Punisher" upgrades on his new 10mm "Zombie Killer" and addresses all the "haters."
All the fun happens early on. No need to watch the whole thing. Bonus points if you do.
He did make it all the way to 1:23 before he pointed the gun at his face, maybe he's getting safer?

I know the negative services get posted all the time so I thought I'd post a positive one. I had to send in my old PT-111 because the little screw that holds the plate over the firing mechanism was stripped out. I sent it on Thursday before Thanksgiving and received it back the Friday after Thanksgiving. 8 day turnaround. I've had good service from them 3 of 3 times in the last 15 years. I should have called and asked them to just send the screw, it would have been a lot cheaper for me. Still happy with my repair.

Hmmm, "no questions asked.."? Seems they may be purchasing stolen weapons. Someone should report them to the ATF. Or maybe they should just advertise "Let Kroger dispose of your murder weapon!"

I'm on the fence on this. Here in TN since the guns in restaurants that serve laws were passed there are now fewer places that we can carry because of the signage issue. This makes me a little skeptical, however, if it's as simple as the NRA is saying it is then I'm all for it. I don't see federal gun laws ever just going away so if there are laws in our favor, I'm for it.

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with sprint trying to get one of these charges off of my bill and I have a flip phone! If it happens again I'll be very vocal about it with customer service.

Yeah. I like how quick on and off the spring clips are. They do a great job. I rarely tuck my shirts so it's not the most important thing but I like to have the option. Just seeing your belt loops got my vanity going. I mean it is a concealment holster but I want it to look good!
Believe it or not until I recently purchased my Sig P229 from a fellow TGOer I carried a Beretta 92FS iwb all the time. Having a good holster and belt make a huge difference. I'm sure you'll get a lot o life out of that rig.
