  1. Dont blame you. Funny thing is, it looks like they just used a spacer or something to reduce the capacity, so I thought I'd remove it since the baseplate is standard. But what the bastards did was to put a dimple in the metal near the top pf the mag where the 10th round would sit. So unless someone had a press to flatten it out, there aint no changing it-lol.

  2. 2 sets of CZ compact grips (PCR, P01, 75 compact etc)

    Lok-$35

    smooth walnut finger groove-$35

Walnut finger groove(half checkered) for CZ 97B or BD-$40

Genuine rattlesnake grips for Officers 1911-new- $45

    Black plastic 'American Flag' grips-$20

VZ Operator ll grips in package-$40

I'm in E TN but will ship

  3. The alloy compact models are de-cockers. I'm frustrated by this myself. Had a P-07 but it isnt the same.

I bought a Dan Wesson ECP, alloy framed 1911. Has a safety and is less cash than the DWX.

I have never regretted selling a bike. By the time I sell one, its past its useful life-lol.

Well OK maybe not. I sold my 2010 Ultra in 2016 with 72K on it. The guy that bought it still rides it. But when I take a trip for 2-4 weeks I'd rather have something newer with less miles.

  5. Mint condition DW ECO, Officers model 3.5" size. Has aluminum frame, and a match grade bull barrel.  Box, 2 mags.

I also have a brand new Milt Sparks IWB VM2 in brown horsehide that fits Officers or Commander size that I would sell with the DW for $150.  These cost $185+  and have a 30 week wait.

Though I live in E TN, we have family in Lebanon and are there at least once a month. Also in Knoxville fairly often.

  6.  Selling my 1979 Colt Detective Special. 38 special,  2" blued. The gun is in great shape considering its age. The cylinder release has that purpleish tint that many blued guns get over time, the rest of the bluing is excellent. It has Colt rubber grips installed, and comes with a pair of wooden grips in the box.

Also has 2 HKS speedloaders, and a really nice Bianchi #5 OWB thumb break leather holster. Price $900

Possible trade for a 1911 like Sig, Kimber, but no ATI, Tisas or Taurus.

Or other hammer guns but not limited to Sig P226, 229 etc .

423 603 9696 located between Johnson City and Greeneville, travel to Knoxville occasionally

  7. I have several of both calibers. . For your budget, I'd consider a Dan Wesson. Very well made, especially for the price. Either caliber but I have to say that 9mm is a hoot to shoot in a 1911. DW makes all steel versions, as well as aluminum frame models.

Another favorite of mine is the Springfield EMP 9mm. They took the 1911 and basically shrunk it down a bit for the 9mm cartridge. So its not a big 1911 frame chambered in 9mm, it was designed just for the 9mm.

  8. If I didnt buy, sell and trade once in a while, I wouldnt know which guns I like, and which I wouldnt.

Am I the only one that at times just HAD to have a certain model because it was popular, or cool, or new, only to find out I wasnt crazy about it? I have no problem selling those, thats for sure-lol.

And on the other hand, I have taken some in trade that I wasnt crazy about, then fell in love with it. Thats how I got my first CZ, a PCR. The day I first shot it I also had a P226 Legion, and damn it that PCR didnt shoot circles around the Sig (and at about half the cost).  Though that gun cost me a bundle in the long run, since it began my love affair with CZ-lol. And I have more than several to prove it.
