Verizon has a product they sell that may fit your needs. I think it's called HUB or something. That and the app so text don't work while driving would be the minimum for my older daughter. Second oldest hasn't caused me to do anything besides the no text app, part of me says she learned from her older sister and I'm being bamboozled.

I'd put a Williams Foolproof receiver sight on it, and buy some Remington 150 grain core-loct ammo.
I personally don't care for a scope nor sling on a classic lever rifle. They both take away from the fast handling characteristics which made these rifles popular.
I wish that I actually had the confidence to use iron sights - I prefer a scope for humane reasons and doing my research based on the information provided. -
Had medical training at my unit and got to talking about hunting and what not. Explained how I hunt with a muzzle loader at TWRA sites since I didn't have land. The NCOIC says that i was welcome to hunt at his land, I don't know if I'll take him up on the offer since I wasn't sure if he was serious or just being nice. Either way, I've had a Marlin 30-30 for almost 9 years that I'd like to get set up for hunting. I'm hoping he and I cross paths again so I can feel him out about the offer. But I'd like to see what y'all prefer as far as scope and rings, ammo (I've read where leverlution ammo was well liked) and general guidance on hunting lever action. TIA.

When I was there in '04 a few of us would participate in the "Operation Pencil Box" where we went to villages and gave school supplies and sports equipment to kids. I really respected the fact that my Seniors understood that most of the population didn't give a dang if Hussien, US Soldiers or any other people were there, they just wanted to survive till the next day. It was a great opportunity to talk with village elders and general population. It's funny that I couldn't recall where any of the combatants that received my teams lead or we captured were Iraqi - the SIR reports almost always showed they were from another country. He'll many times we raided housing due to intelligence from the locals, they knew who wasn't from the area. Bought many a watermelons from farmers who for generations toiled the same earth for rich landowners, these guys kids will be doing what their father and grandfather did on that land. I've seen and cleaned up civilian vehicles ran over by tanks and thought - my brothers needed help, tank took the shortest route - I'm sorry this happened, wish it didn't but sadly brothers in uniform comes first.
Not bragging, but I was the only CC that had an M249 as a primary and have used up more drums than I can remember. It breaks my heart that I have several battle buddies who choose to be on the streets, couldn't cope with all that happened. But to this day, those of us that are able to stay the path, those that have taken to the streets and those that have lost the will and took what arguably could be considered the weak mans route would not wish harm on the civilians in Iraq.-

I know and am friends with a few LEO's in different counties and generally they tell me that they decide if they will give a ticket before they get out of there vehicle so as to be impartial. But it's not uncommon to change their mind one way or another depending on how the interaction goes.

Not to hi-jack, but since your talking about a lever gun, would you use these same brands on a 30-30 for deer? Coordinated some stuff for training and was invited to hunt on private land.

I've had a lot of opportunities given to me. Blacksmithing, martial arts and others. I try to pay that forward any way I can. I firmly believe knowledge should be available to anyone who is willing to seek it.

^^^^^ the more I research the Pacific front, I'm sometimes let down by who were my heroes. Being of Filipino decent, Gen. McArthur used to be one of my heroes, I still look at him in high regard, but he too had political and personality mistakes that led to bad decisions which affected the boots on ground.

Congrats, traveling is a passion of mine only superseded by food. Lots of good advice, I usually stay up a day or so before my flight, that way when I'm on the leg that has the most hours, I'm out for the duration. If your worried about falling asleep at the gate, set several alarms on your phone. Key is to nor zone out till that long flight - gotta make sure you make all the connecting flights.

Since I've gone down the buy only for a specific purpose route on my firearms, y'alls setup will be the only thing I'm looking to get handgun wise. Since I plan on using it for the field and my main carry is now a G19, all I gotta do is save up some $..... Thanks for the pictures.
