  1. Sig P365 for sale. Great little gun.  Excellent condition. I’m not the original owner so no exact round count. I have shot at least 200 flawless rounds through it. Comes with original box, Sig night sights, 2 ten round mags and 1 twelve rounder. Only selling because I picked up an XL with the Romeo

  2. I love shooting my two Glock MOS pistols (34 and 41). My issue with the RDS is acquiring the dot from the draw is slower than irons, but it is mostly muscle memory as the RDS sits higher. I need to spend more time drawing, the front of the pistol is typically high and I have to bring it down to acquire the dot, but I switch between irons/dot frequently.
Accuracy vs Speed - from what I have seen shooting irons vs optic in competition and watching others, the RDS is typically more accurate but not necessarily any faster when transitioning targets.

Just curious which RMRs do you have on your pistols? Also, which sights are you running and how well do they co-witness with the dots? I have read some of the MOS guns/red dot combinations don't match up well with some of the suppressor sights. Was this your experience as well?
  3. I can't get it to work for me either. Tried on my desktop Mac as well as my iPad and iPhone. All i get is the swirling circle. When I click on add it to my cart the wheel starts spinning and nothing happens. No option to choose between Paypal or Stripe.

  4. No feeding issues with the semi wadcutters? What gun?

No sir, no problems with the wad cutters. Shooting them out of a government size Colt 1911. I was not sure how they would work when I first got the gun because I've had a few that didn't like them. I had to alter my OAL a little but once I got that worked out, they became my favorite range fodder. I like to use Missouri Bullet Company 200 grain. They are reasonably priced and locally available. I shoot them with Unique, Bullseye, W231, VV N320, as well as some IMR SR 4756. I really like the crisp way they cut the paper.

  5. My brother in law bought a DW Valor back in March. He could barely hit the broadsides of a barn when he was shooting his striker fired pistols, and while he's no "operator" now, this pistol has made him a much more confident shooter. Compared to my entry level Colt, his is a much nicer gun. Good luck with your new purchase.

  6. I see a lot of this sort of stuff in my line of work. My advice to you would be, always keep your cool. Don't think you have to prove your manhood, no need to escalate things. Sure, he struck your car with his hand and that probably made you mad. Let it go. When you strap on that pistol, you've got to learn to be humble and very forgiving. I probably missed something , but I never got the impression you were in fear of your life in your situation.  As Jonnin pointed out, if your car is close enough that he can touch it, the other guy might have had a real concern about the proximity. Personally, I like to make eye contact with a driver before I'll walk behind a car like that, especially if I have a kid or wife in tow. While it sounds like you did the right thing, just remember there are always two sides to every story.  I'll play devils advocate here. Let's say he gets on TGO when he gets home and posts this:

"Just about had to pull on a guy. I'm still shaking. I have Parkinsons and it's hard to walk straight sometimes. I was in the parking lot at Rural King walking my grandson to the store when this jackass almost backed over us. I slapped the rear of his car to make him stop and he started swearing at me. Words were exchanged and he threatened to get out of the car and whip my ass. I'm pretty sure he had something in the car with him. He seemed all pissed off for no reason. When it was over he squealed off and almost hit two other cars. Started to call the cops but my grandson was already pretty upset. This guy is lucky he didn't try to get out of that car is all I can say. I'd hate to shoot someone over something this stupid especially in front of my grandson."

See how easy it is to make you the bad guy here? It's not worth losing everything financially or otherwise over words in a parking lot. If two guys try to car jack you or rob you in the parking lot, that's a whole other game, but something like you experienced was just simply not worth going to jail or spending every penny you have to defend yourself in court. Glad it turned out okay for you.

  7. Commies feeeeeeel like they're doing the right thing. Never use much logic because they're all weepy and #### over all them tragic losses.

This. It isn't whether or not the program or law is efficient, logical or even Constitutional, it's about how it makes the people passing the law "feel" about themselves when they create these laws. Been that way going all the way back to the War on Poverty. Billions spent and poverty isn't any better than it was when they first began throwing tax money at it.

  8.  I fell for the same marketing deal. Finally let them send me their modem to replace one that I owned that was only two years old. I only did it because they insisted the only way I'd be getting the fastest internet speed was with their modem. It came late on a Friday afternoon and I installed it on a Saturday morning. Of course, there was a problem with the install and I had to call customer service over in Pakistan. She pushed some buttons and viola' I had internet. After changing the passwords on all of my wifi equipment I found out that in the far corner of my house downstairs (where we spend a great deal of our time) there was no wifi signal and we were unable to connect our iPads or even the TV for some of our streaming movies. So i just hooked up my old 8 year old Linksys wireless router and plugged it into the Xfinity modem and now I have coverage again. I've not noticed any increased speed for the internet so like you, I'm on the verge of sending this one back to them. Other than the monthly charge for renting their modem, nothing has changed.

  9. I thought this was gonna be a peeping tom thread.......

This, especially since the OP began, 'wife and i have been trying to get in better shape.".... I was expecting something along the lines of "Dear Penthouse, you'll never believe what recently happened to me."

Congrats to the OP for having some old fashioned good clean fun. I was at an arts and crafts show with the wife a few years ago when one of the guys from the local planetarium had a large telescope set up to let people watch a solar eclipse. It was pretty awesome.

  10. so before reading any of the thread other than the OP, how long has this party been going on, and have there been reported violent crimes there?

in reference to guns being on premise

Who are these certain people she is talking about?

Memphis in May festival started back in the 70's as I recall. Music festival the first weekend, BBQ festival the third weekend of May, thousands of drunks all gathered in one place.

Just spitballing here, but my guess is the people young Mandy/Mindy/or whatever her name was trying to make reference to would be local police and politicians not wanting to see anyone carrying guns down there, as you and I both know that always leads to blood running in the street.

MPD does a pretty good job with providing security for the immediate area where the events are held but there are usually one or two out of town guests who get robbed each year on the way back to their car or hotel. It does seem like someone got hurt pretty badly a few years ago leaving Beale St. headed back to their hotel.
