At that store I just walk over to the auto service desk and ask them to page someone to sporting goods for me. Not sure why that one store would stop selling ammo, though. Dunno.

In no particular order: Cozy Corner Neely's Interstate BBQ Memphis BBQ in Southaven, MS One and Only BBQ Corky's That being said, I think we have it pretty good when it comes to having good barbecue. We probably have pretty high standards for that reason. Those folks in Kansas City just think they know how to BBQ. :)

Nice find. Congrats!

+1 on Avery. I've had good experiences with them. They are a little higher on powder than some other sources, but it's not too much higher. I think I paid about $23 for a lb of Unique a few weeks ago. I was just tickled to find it on the shelf. Their inventory seems to move pretty quickly, but I think they are somewhat a secret among some shooters locally.
I do not stop daily, or even weekly. I do not go on ammo runs to WW. I do not try to beat every other person in before the line starts, So I guess I will never see, at least not in the foreseeable future; a sight like that. I will, and do check when I go to WW, where I shop usually.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This.

Might have to get one of those patches to sew on this

I shoot plated reloads through my 3rd generation G19, no problems and good accuracy. I have owned a few M&Ps and they are a fine gun. I just always come back to the Glock. As it has been said, you can't go wrong with either one. Both seem to hold their value. Both do well in the used market.

I had a M&P 45 FS for a short time about a year ago. I recall it was a pretty nice gun, all in all. With the removable back straps it fit my fat, girlie hands much better than the Glock 21. It was very accurate, and ate any ammo I fed it, including my reloaded 200 grain LSWCs. Downsides: The trigger was too mushy and didn't seem to have a crisp break. No discernible reset on the trigger. As mentioned, the 14 round magazines are just too big to be carried as a spare. I just didn't like the gun enough to justify spending the money to upgrade to the Apex trigger kit. YMMV.
As the streets were covered in ice and snow this morning, I stopped in Bass Pro and saw a stack of Federal .22 325 round cans for $19.95.
I was in there yesterday for the first time in about a month, and noticed all the handgun ammo is now behind the counter. I will make another stop in tomorrow to see if they have any of that Federal .22 left. Not holding my breath.... :)

Sounds like something straight from the "Graceland: Memories of Elvis in the Kitchen Cookbook"! Thank ya. Thank ya, very much....

I agree with the others. For the time it took you to come in here and post, you could just as easily gone to the Wally World site and hit the link for Contact Us, and told them what was on your mind. Sure, maybe nothing happens, but there is a chance someone within their organization gets tired of hearing about this sort of thing and takes some action.

Here's one way to deal with those annoying calls.

I bought a .22 conversion kit not too long ago from a firm called Tactical Industries. I did experience some FTE my first time out using Winchester ammo. After I was able to find some CCI mini mags, the failures to eject went away. Mine has been a lot of fun and actually pretty accurate out to about 25 yards. I seem to recall I paid about $160 for mine shipped with one 25 round magazine. I bought another Black Dog magazine off of another forum for $13.00. For me it was money well spent. There just aren't a lot of places here in the city where I can go shoot my AR unless I use the conversion kit. This has been good training for me, allowing me to become more familiar with the rifle and how to operate it. I highly recommend a conversion kit .

Bass Pro had decent amount of ammo last time I was there, bout a week ago. If it is not on the shelf check with the guys at the gun counter. Sometimes they get busy and don't get a chance to put it out. They had Federal (American Eagle) and Winchester in both calibers you asked about. Both have functioned well in my guns in the past.

Yes. The owner is a permit holder and none of his establishments prohibit carry. He told me that he has no plans to ever post. I'm in there pretty regularly as well as Soulfish (his catfish restaurants).
Love me some Soul Fish! Be happy when they open the new one on Poplar that used to be Wolf Camera...:)- 1

This is all the work of some in the Republican Party who think the Latino vote, or the Latino community will be
a great factor in the next election, which is entirely false. Historically, Latinos are such a small percentage of
voters, in the last thirty or so years, that their voting block is inconsequential. Neither Democrat or Republican
benefits greatly from this voting block, yet, people like Rove and others are pushing this agenda. He isn't the
only one, though.
All this vote will show anyone paying attention, will be who is or isn't a liberal statist. Charles Shumer is one
person who should be considered no friend of theirs, unless they are themselves liberals. You can strike
a line of demarcation between good and evil between people like him compared to someone like Ted Cruz
and/ or Rand Paul.
Rubio is making nice with the money in the progressive ranks of the Republican Party because he wants to
be President.
Agreed. The fat guy in NJ is doing the same thing. RINOs. -
Just got an email. The vote on the Senate amnesty bill has been moved up to 4 pm ET.
I tried to call the offices of both Corker and Alexander but the lines were blown up busy. Instead, I googled and called the local offices of both of them and gave them my polite, but impassioned plea for them to vote against the bill.
I also called Rubio's office and left a similar message. If we don't contact them, they assume we don't care. -
News at ten last night said there was a similar incident on Saturday involving pretty much the same circumstances. This was pretty brazen, many witnesses to this one. MPD hopefully will be able to find theses boys quick, fast and in a hurry.

Buddy went over when they opened this morning. All the 9mm and .45 was gone. Amazing.
-
I was there this afternoon. The 5.56 ammo was still there but the hand gun ammo was essentially all gone again. A few boxes of American Eagle in 9mm and .45 ACP. Smattering of .45 long Colt ammo. No .22lr. Must have been put out after I left based upon the timing of the OP. wonder when this photo was taken...

First car was a 1967 Camaro. Sold it while I was in college to buy a rice burner that got better gas mileage. The Camaro had a 327 v-8 engine with Holley Double Pump carb. I think on a good day it got about 8 miles a gallon. Be nice to have that one back.

Congrats! The little PF9s can be hit or miss. I've owned two of them over the years and they were very reliable. The only problem is they are advertised as "shoot a little, carry a lot" type of guns. I like to shoot whatever I'm going to carry, so that has been my reason for dispensing with mine. Hope yours continues to be reliable.

Just heard on Fox the person has been identified as a frequent caller and writer to Wickers office. Hannity and Rudy Guiliani were questioning a possible connection to the Boston bombing.
My bet is this is a gun guy who is peeved at Wickers role in the vote to bring the Harry Reid bill out of committee.
They also say the letter had a Memphis postmark. -
Just called the offices of Senators Alexander and Corker. I spoke with staff who answered the phone, both were friendly but business-like.
I simply told them who I was, and where I live. I asked them to oppose the universal background check which is slated to come up next week. Both offices promised to pass along the message.
To be candid, I was not prepared for someone to answer, but rather to leave a recorded message. This also tells me not enough folks are calling in. The word I have heard elsewhere is the auto emails don't get the attention that written (typed or handwritten) letters and phone calls do.
I encourage anyone who has not called, to do so. Polite, but to the point, no new gun laws please.
