  1. Tullahoma i think allows pellet guns and bb guns. Any air rifle. But firearms cannot be discharged in the city limits unless it is used during the protection of ones life or family. They don't allow hunting either, but if someone dosent do something about the deer population in the city limits soon, there is going to be a lot of problems.

  2. As a re cap.

I passed the tests. And greatly improved my times in the three days. So I'm in the hiring pool. So I hope i get called in for more "actual" training.

After my first day there i got some nuts and bolts (similar in size to what we were testing on) and it made a world of difference. I would also advise anyone else who does the PET thatthey get nitrile gloves or something similar and practice rolling washer nuts and bolts and body screws in your fingers. I still believe i am doing the rolling motion in my sleep.

Just know they won't call until after shutdown has finished.

Thanks all, i hope they call soon, I'm ready to get back to work.

  3. Not much cared for KFC even when they were the only "chicken place" in town. I don't go there unless someone else in the family is having a hankering for their chicken. Chic-fil-a, Zaxbys and the other places in town suit me just fine.

And as for the banning of one type of breed of dog just because someone( regardless of howbad it is) gets mauled because of poor judgement on the owners side. Is rediculous. Any type of animal can become vicious and attack anyone at any time. It dosent matter if it is a Pit-bull or whatever. It is in their genetics, being animals they cannot be controlled all the time.

I do however think those who have ever had their dogs attack anyone be banned from ever owning another dog again. Instead of banning the breed, ban the owners.

  4. Think If i was being treated like I was a money machine by any dealership I would be looking for service from now on from a more reputable dealer/service center.

I know when I had my first fourwheeler( bombardier) i had nothing but bad luck from the dealership i bought it from( America's Motorsports). And since then after buying my current one from the local dealer( Tims Ford Powersports), I have had nothing but good luck out of them.

Service over sales should always be the way to go. JMHO.   And that's the only way businesses will succeed in repeat business.

  5. Maybe you saw exit for Barack Obama Avenue in East St. Louis? There's also a BHO Boulevard in St. Louis somewhere too.

There is a BHO Parkway in Orlando, though.

All presidents get lots of stuff named for them. Bet none of them beat Martin Luther King in total number though.

    - OS

Really, It dosen't matter if it is a Parkway, Avenue or road. Anything with BHO on it is a bad thing.

All I saw was BHO and didn't give a rats behind what it was if i had to be accurate. All I know is it probably was a dirt road made to look like a paved road that lead to nowhere. All left turns probably full of potholes and false promises.

  6. Well, i wasnt the one driving right then and there. Fiancee was and we both saw that sign and hoped to god there wasnt any traffic anywhere near us. I took over driving a bit down the road since she was sleepy( remember the 6 year old she has all the time).

Just seemed we kept on getting slowed down in Illinois for some reason, Couldn't cross the Ohio river fast enough due to construction and the idiot drivers that wouldn't get over into the left lane until the last minute. SALK knows this, he and I have had our share of idiot drivers who wait til the last minute to get over thus causing a bottleneck.

I'm just glad to be home. Just know I am avoiding Bonnaroo and Manchester entirely while that festival is going on. I'm lucky that during my PET training for Nissan, I don't have to cross the interstate either.

  7. Well, back from my trip to St. Louis Mo. We stayed at a Hyatt Regency hotel in Chesterfield Mo. Way out from the city but in a good/safe location. Did the arch tour( left guns in the car), Fiancee had to toss her pepper spray because she forgot she had it. But it was an experience. Toured the old courthouse, full of history. But getting to the arch was another story. The MoDOT is doing a facelift around that area so we had to figure out another way to the parking lot. But we got there and had a good time. Tuesday we did the City Museum( not really much a museum, but a huge play area of climbing and slides). Kinda like "Chutes and Ladders". Then Tuesday we went to the Zoo. Admission was free but parking was $15. But well worth it. ( i was able to conceal carry into the park and no metal detectors there). Wednesday we went to Six flags( no carry) cause they metal detect and inspect bags. But we had a good time. Proud of my girl, I talked her into a loopty-loop ride( her words) more than once, and she liked them. But little man still be ing scared stuck to the less upside down rides.

Just was glad to get over the Ohio river back into Kentucky so i could openly carry. After having to conceal in one state and not be able to have access in another, It was nice (and makes you appreciate where you live) to be back in the south again.

Thanks ya'll for all the help.

  8. My first pistol was a 3rd gen glock 23( and I still have it). I was advised by a friend on the Tullahoma PD what to get. I still love my glock, but had to have something smaller for sumer carry.

So I have a Shield 9mm for summer carry. Love both, am more accurate with the shield, but the fiancee likes the glock better( but no, she don't like the safety on the glocks).

If I were you, I'd go with a G22 or G23 as most PD's are using .40 cal ammo anyways. You can probably find a used g22 or g23 first, then go for a shield for later on.

  9. I've used this stuff just to see how black wheels would look on my four wheeler. If you have textured wheels or part of your wheels are textured, it won't work great. Best to use on a smooth surface. Also take your wheels off the vehicle and you can use painters tape around the wheels(on the tire) if you want to make it look more proffessional.

You may need several coats in order to fully coat your wheels. One coat will not do it. As for how many cans you'll need, it depends on the size of your wheels and how many coats you want. I have 12" wheels on my atv, and ended up using 2 cans.

Make sure your wheels are clean and free from any and all debris before you start. Just as if you were going to "paint".

One trip to the pressure washer and it was all it took to take this stuff off. ( i have since painted the recessed areas on my atv( after sandblasting the textured areas). But the Plasti-dip method is good if you just want to check it out.

  10. The upside to airsoft would be:

    1.Ammo is plentiful.

    2.Ammo is cheap

Plus if you break something, the guns aren't real cheap to fix, but they aren't expensive to fix either.

    Kinda like paintball.

But like any hobby, it can get expensive. It's only as expensive as you want to go.

Speaking of which, I need to get my Paintball set out sometime.

  11. Well, my Fiancee is planning for us to take a trip to St louis, Mo. In a couple days. We will be driving and both have our HCP's. I know Illinois is not friendly toward us carrying in their state so i plan on federally carrying in the trunk while we are in that state( short time we hope). Is there any other things we should be aware of when carrying in and around St. Louis?

My first time going there( and crossing the Mississippi river). She's bringing her 6 year old along( he's good, just we have to keep him entertained).

    Thanks...

  12. Oh, i had my encounter with one of those "environmental" Liberal groups a while ago. They were sending me all these requests for money, to join their cause in the over protection of the environment. Well, i got so tired of it i sent them a letter back stating my being a mountainbike riding, Atv riding, SUV owner, dirt loving enthusiast, that I would be contradicting their beliefs if i joined or sent them any money.

The letters stopped coming.... Now if i could get all these politicians to stop calling me, asking for my vote this august.

  13. As a bicyclist, I have had the same problem with dogs chasing me. Instead of pepper spray( which if the wind is right it will affect you as well), I filled a water bottle up with water and ammonia( squirt at the eyes of the offending dogs and they'll leave you alone.

Please note, do not drink that bottle. ( I usually have a camelbak filled with water when i ride a long trip).

  14. The interview went great. I start the pre-training the second friday in June and it goes for 3 total fridays. 7 am to 3:30 pm each day.

I know it's no guarantee of a job but i have also heard the initial training is worse than the job itself. I guess they have to weed out those who want to work and those who just want to goof off.

Just glad they are giving me a chance. Thanks all

  15. For a change, I have an interview with Yates Nissan tomorrow. Wish me luck. I had one interview with Viam today, They offered me a job but i think Nissan might be a better company to work for in the end. It's the Decherd plant.

First interview, then hopefully training, then hopefully i'll be working full time. (Just hoping i get hired on).

  16. Ouch,  Ouch.  Need I say OUCH! anymore?

I've been lucky to not have the misfortunes of getting my fingers cut up near as bad as the ones above. But broke my left middle finger right before new years back in 2011. I tell ya, it isn't fun to be sitting in the ER in Fayetteville(TN) for near 7 hours before someone can see you.

How it happened? well i was in a hurry and had my truck and trailer( utility trailer) parked on a slight incline and the hitch to the trailer wouldn't go over the ball.  I had already fastened the tow chains to the hitch and wasn't thinking when i pulled up on the hitch to reposition it ( here's where gravity played it's part). Getting my middle finger pinched between a chain and the metal tubing on the trailer... OUCH. Aside from other choice words at the time. Just getting in a hurry and not thinking.

Just think, most of these accidents would neverhappen if we all stopped and thought before acting...

  17. I have some of the store bought Permethrin and noticed ( after spraying it) that it isn't good for being around cats. If you have cats around the house, keep them indoors and or away from the area you are spraying at and do not let them near it until your sprayed articles are dry.

I have one cat and noticed she was acting funny ( even just being around a small ammount of it).

Wear light colored clothing when youre outside if possible. Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colors and the carbondioxide we breathe out.

  18. Some say if you're used to the apple products, stay with the apple products. If you're used to Android, go with Android. Now you know there are some tablets out that use the windows 8 and 8.1 operating system.

I have an android phone, an apple ipod touch( just like an Iphone 5, only no calling), and just a windows 7 operating system on my PC. And i'm more inclined to go with one of the new Samsung Galaxy 4's or pros before another apple.

Simply the fact that the android and some of the windows tablets have a storage upgrade and the expense of an apple is another point.

    JMHO.

  19. Thanks all,

Really nissan isn't my only option. But it pays really well. I'm hoping they call me back soon as I hate waiting on a job opportunity. JWC, Don't worry, the wedding won't be a big one like my brother's ( real small immediate family wedding) but a huge party reception to follow( just don't know when or where on that one).

Her being able to shoot ( she has a walther p22 and a ruger .22 rifle) plus she won't runout of ammo anytime soon. You guys would be proud, she stockpiles her ammo and tells me i cannot reload my own ammo. But i save the casings anyways. She says we will only be shooting new ammo( JWC, I have plenty of .223 casings).

So far she loves my guns, loves my atv( yeah i took her riding once, going to take her back riding this fall when it cools down), and she even likes my old durango( i'm needing a newer truck one day, but gotta find a job that pays well before that).

  20. It is taking a while, A while before i'm going to be back where i was 2 years ago. I look at it like this. Everything happens for a reason, we do not know why at the time, but it will work out in the end. God has a plan for all of us( for those who don't believe in god, then believe in fate or destiny).

Just had an initial interview with Nissan for the decherd plant. Wish me luck....

  21. I mean a lot.... A whole lot....

Sorry, i've been away so long. Just the Girlfriend and the issues of selling a house have taken my mind away from being on this site as much as I would have liked.

I finally sold my house back in the second week of March. Was sad to see it go but it had to happen. Didn't get what i was asking, but i didn't break even either or go in the hole on the sale, so I'm ok.

And it will be 2 weeks this coming saturday that i'm officially engaged to the love of my life.( going to be a while to get used to going from calling her the "girlfriend" to the "fiancee".  Great thing is, she already has her HCP and i took her out to shoot my AR last weekend( she loves it). I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing though.

So a lot has happened, wedding date isn't set yet, but it will be sometime summer of 2015.

  22. I guess the best defense to anyone sneaking up on you( or trying to) is to be very aware of your surroundings. I've fallen for the " need to get my kids something for christmas but i have no $, no job", scam before. but that was well before getting my HCP and becomming more self aware. It hasn't happened again. Sure there are the ever present "person in need" at the walmart parking lot entrance, but it seems there is never a shortage of those folks. I can see someone needing help from time to time, but there are various charities and groups out there that gladly offer assistance to those in need. Unless "those in need" are looking for $ to fund their drug habit or just want the public to feel sorry for them and give.

I've been laid off, lost my job, yet i still found a way to make ends meet and move on without asking for assistance( aside from unemployment benefits). But Begging, that I won't do.
