  1. I'll admit that I skimmed across all these replies, so if I am repeating, look over me. For reloading manulas and dies, check Ebay. I bought a manual the other day for pennies on the dollar. You just have to be careful to no buy an older manual, as the newer calibers and newer powders wont be in there. I load a lot with IMR powders as well as the old Hercules, so I was covered. I have also found some decent buys on dies there, too. Look around online before jumping onto Ebay thinking it is always cheapest. I have seen PLENTY of stuff there that is much higher than new prices. My two cents.

  2. Just a thought. Disclosure. It is a good idea to disclose (in writing) a statement of anything you might need to divuldge to a new owner. Things like "by signing below, you acknowledge I have made you aware that this vehicle was involved in a wreck......". That sort of thing. Just to CYA. If you do this, there is nothing wrong with adding a statement like "No warranties are implied or expressed....blah, blah". Yeah, that sounds a little far fetched, but a handshake doesn't always mean what it used to. My two cents.

  3. He does not carry.

Those four words speak volumes. Please keep the .357. I, like most of the other posters here have regretted losing guns of our own doing. You could probably sell it any time you wish. So if you don't wish right now.....don't!

  4. South Clinton Pawn Shop has a sign up saying "380 AMMO IN STOCK". It was way after business hours, but I noticed the sign as I was driving by.

.......and they want $30.00/box. I quizzed the fellow behind the counter (seriously, a real nice guy) as to why so high and he gave me the rumors. He then proceeded to tell me that the pawn shop right down the road from them are selling the same stuff for $50.00/box! I did happen to luck up and found some at SGCUSA.com - SGCUSA.com. They had about 6,000 boxes and were down to 28 in three days. I bought six boxes and wound up paying a tad over $16.00/box, including UPS. Still way too expensive for a tiny bullet with almost no powder behind it, but at least I can pay it and not feel like I had just been handed a jar of vaseline! Keep checking and, when they do have them again, find someone to split an order like this. Otherwise shipping will eat you up on 2-3 boxes.

  5. Based on all of the locales listed, there aren't many members who haven't been invited to a church within close driving distance.

You got that right, SpartaTN. Hopefully we can fill up the pews. The Good News you will hear Sunday has never gotten old nor ever will!

  6. From what I understand Beretta bought Uberti a few years ago, and the Stampede single actions they put out are essentially shiny Uberti's with the Beretta logo. Thought I never shot the Beretta nor the Uberti, I have handled both and they feel sweet. As far as Cimarron goes, I'm not real sure. They show makers like Pedersoli and Armi (other Italian gunmakers) on their website, so they might be a hodgepodge distributor. Maybe some of our CAS friends can help set us straight.

  7. I have private insurance. It will raise the cost of my insurance. Guess what else, my insurance will only get worse, even though I will be paying more. Also, it will cause the economy to suffer even more.

Taking money from working people and giving it to people who dont. That'll work.(sarcasm) Hey, I know. lets tax the rich so all us poor people can drive fancy cars and wear diamond rings and rolex's just like them.

Has no one ever read a history book here? This country was founded on not paying high taxes.

I say this following statement with all due respect and a love of all humans and knowing circumstances vary. As for people complaining about insurance for children, If you cant afford them, then dont have them.

I hear about plenty of people with like 8 kids and neither parent has a job or wants one. It i just plain wrong to leech off of the country and it sets a terrible example for the children who grow up this way.

If you cant see where Obama is trying to take this country, then God Bless you. God Bless those of you who do see it to.

YOU CAN NOT TAX PRODUCTION AND EXPECT GROWTH!

Plus a whole lot more than just one for this contribution!

  8. I read this in the News Sentinal. Harry Hogan, if thats his real name is entitled to his opinion. I am entitled to my opinion as well and that opinion is that Harry Hogun is an idiot. My name is Bluemax and I fully support this message :slapfight:

Well, this Harry Hogan must be named an honorary mythbuster. I have always heard that opinions are just like _________. In Harry's case, they are one and the same. In the words of Dirty Harry, maybe he just wants us to yell "trick or treat" at them! ;)

  9. Well, since we're invitin', I attend Timothy Street Baptist off Rutledge Pike Exit of I-40 in Knoxville. You can see us from the interstate if you are heading east. Anyone needing better directions, drop me a line. Services start @ 10:30-10-45. We would be glad to have you come over. We aint perfect; just forgiven!

  10. I have a union job and my insurance which was considered "Cadillac" is supposedly exempted from everyone else's burden. I apologise for this Congress' theft from all of you, but mine will just come a little later. My wife is a nurse at a charitable hospital in Nashville and it will become less charitable after this bill. Neither of us see any benefits in the bill other than my so called exemption. It will prevent people needing immediate procedures by consulting some board in DC before dolling out those procedures. People have died in England and Canada because of that. Many other things will be to our detriment.

strel, God Bless you for being a single father with I'm sure two fine children. It's a

struggle for anyone to raise a family, nowadays, and you are to be admired for that.

There may be a benefit for you in this bill, but what you will have to sacrifice, eventually, will cost you your freedom. What it will cost me is more troubling. There is no reason for the gov to force me to pay your healthcare. I hope you understand this

because of the place you live in, America. It's about you and your children's right to choose to live a certain way without infringing on others. That can't happen when I

am forced to pay your healthcare. What am I going to have to do for someone else,

next week. What liberty/achievement/success am I going to have to give up so you can benefit? Please don't take this as an attack on you. It's not. You can substitute

anyone's name you wish for the times I used "I" or "you" in what I write.

This bill will benefit no one except those who have no value for human life, the people

    who wrote the bill.

It's not about healthcare, it's about undeserved power. This bill pits you against me.

    Is that right?

I'm afraid you are correct, my friend. Anytime the liberal (notice I did not say Democrat nor Republican) government can chip away at our rights and freedoms, it will. I am not a pessimist, but I AM a realist. This is yet another foot in the door. Nowhere in the Constitution does it spell out that we the people have the right to healthcare. True, it may seem to help those who are really struggling and really trying, like this single dad. But welfare helps some people who really need it, too. And we see how that system can be exploited. Now I will get to pay for the healhcare for the fat asses, lazy, drunk, high or otherwise uncaring individuals. It's a shame, but it's true. The result from this passge will only be more power to Washington, and damn to cost to we the people. I even have relatives who see it differently, and they are sorely mistaken.
