the reason I said long action was because the gun I have is a long action and I didnt know that I can rechamber a long action gun to shoot a short action round, I would rather have shoot a smaller round but still have some range

I Like that whats a round like that cost a shot if I reload my self

thats what kind of answer I was looking for I have been shooting a 65 gr. horandy out of my 243 and I like it now what kind of barrel would you recommend for a 6mm

i wish it was a short action so I can do a 260 but its a long action i have a 25-06 and its a good shooting gun. whats the smallest long action caliber they make that will have some range to it?

I love a win mag but I already have a Remington 700 with the LSS package in a 300. Im wanting something with less kick then the mag. but is just as flat shooting

I have a older Rem. Model 700 270 that Im wanting to build into some type of Longrange tactical Varmit killing machine. What caliber should I go with? I was thinking a 7mm mag. but I dont know I dont want it to be one of those barrel burners that will break the bank every time you shoot. On my farm you can get some 500 yd. shots. I have a leupold VX3 4-14 with adjustable obj. im going to put on it. Give me your opinon on what I need Barrel? Stock? hey guys my name is Aaron Norvell Im 26 married and have a beautiful little girl. Ive been looking for a good local gun site for a while and finaly stumbled across this one. So far I like what I see. I have been shooting fan and a gun owner for 20 years. I have several bolt actions, shotguns, just bought my self a Taurus SS1911 .45, M1 garand, and a Springfield 1903. Ive been looking for some guys to get out and do some long range shooting with. The longest shot I have made was 425 with my 300 win mag. but I would like to become better out at the 500 yd. range
