FedEx won't be leaving anytime in the near future. KC hit the nail on the head about the employees. Many of the people I work with have no desire to go any farther than what they already have. FedEx just recently acquired the ANG property. I've also seen plans for FedEx to add another sort building to the property, relocating several of the GSE lots, add additional parking for truck trailers, add more GSE equipment in general, building a walkway over Democrat, like the one over Tchulahoma, iirc, as well as several other things.FedEx has also shut down several of their other hubs throughout the US which routed more freight to the Memphis hub. Some locations weren't shut down entirely but only work a few days out of the week and Memphis picks up the rest. Fred Smith won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

eapking, I absolutely love the Kimber and initially I didn't like the way the Glocks felt in my hand. After shooting the g19 I found I liked the way it handles. I was very surprised that I didn't have any break-in period. I was expecting it since on countryfirecracker's EMP we had to deal with it and it took her about 300 rounds to get through it. But I'm extremely happy with it!

I've been waiting 5 months to get this. I finally got it a couple weeks ago and it takes me this long to get time to go shoot it. I went up to RangeUSA and put 400 rounds through it and it worked flawlessly. It was well worth the wait! I'd like to thank Chance at Classic Arms for helping me figure out what I wanted to get. Great bunch of guys working up there and I'd recommend Classic Arms to anyone in or around Memphis. While I was up at RangeUSA I rented the Glock 19 and I think I found the next gun I want. As soon as I get the money I'll probably pick one up. Only decision about that one is do I want gen3 or gen4?

Today, roughly 3 weeks after getting fingerprinted, my HCP arrived! I got fingerprinted on 3/26 and received the HCP today in the mail. Now I still have to wait a few months for my Kimber...

I agree with you 200% and will be going back to him with the gf to let her look and have him help her out. I've heard about the wait times but not much you can really do but wait. I'm wondering which I will get first -- my carry permit or Kimber. I did my fingerprinting on 3/26 so we'll see.

It appears Kimber is way behind on orders right now so it will probably be a while before I get it... Chance, thanks for the info! And she's more than a shooter... She rides 4wheelers, dirtbikes (even my little 50cc dirtbike I have for goofing off on), goes hunting, and can cook! I might be coming back in there and paying y'all another visit soon with her if she feels up to it just so she can start thinking about what she might want. JPS, I'm not complaining by a long shot. Hell, for Christmas one of the things she bought me was a Benjamin Marauder .22 (HPA pellet rifle that doesn't make a sound other than a click and the pellet going thud) to get rid of the squirrels tearing up my house and my neighbors house.

Today I went and ordered me a new Kimber Pro Carry II today at Classic Arms in Cordova. Will post pics when I get it, I promise. Anyone have any idea as to how long it'll take to for Classic Arms to get it in? After spending almost as much as I spent on one of my motorcycle helmets (yes, I spent more on a full face helmet because I'm crazy about my toys) I'm not wanting to wait. I'm so impatient. After seeing the receipt for it my gf almost beat the hell out of me though! Not because of how much I spent, but because she didn't get to go to Classic Arms with me and see if she could find one for her. I'm worried about her getting a handgun though because she's got a shoulder injury and I don't want her hurting her shoulder again.

Thanks for the welcome! The guy I talked to at Classic Arms showed me one of Kimber's Ultra sized handguns but it just didn't feel right to me. I'm still undecided as to get the Pro Carry II or the CDP II. Maybe someone could chime in and inform me as to the differences between the two. Any help would be appreciated.

...more specifically Germantown but close enough. I took the HCP class a few weeks ago and just went yesterday to get fingerprinted so now it's a waiting game.
