  1. I just asked my buddy what they looked like and he said some looked fine while others had dings or bad anodizing. They will function fine, just some don't look too good... They'd be good for painting for a trunk gun.
  2. Definitely was better when it was free! My sister used to bring home food all the time or give me coupons for free stuff but it's not good enough to pay that crazy price. I'll go to Taco Bell and get double the food for half the price!
  3. Robert, when I said hating I didn't mean it as though people literally hate the Walmart employees. I meant they were talking bad about, stereotyping all the employees because of a couple experiences, etc about the employees. I guess that's me talking like all my co-workers and not realizing it. Sorry for the confusion. But everyone is always saying how bad Walmart is and you never hear anything good about Walmarts customer service so I just wanted to point out that the people who work in the sporting goods area at Walmart have never done me wrong. Maybe it's a fluke or I'm lucky but that's my experiences there...
  4. Why does everyone keep hating on the people who work at Walmart? The lady (I think her name is Jennifer, it's been a while) in the sporting goods area at the Walmart in Cordova has been extremely helpful and friendly to me. I went in there one evening to buy some ammo and while I was in there I went ahead and bought a Savage .22 from them just for giggles. As I walked back there she was about to clock out but didn't because I asked her to get me some ammo then as we were walking to the counter I told her I wanted to get the Savage also. She spent about 30 more minutes at work doing all the paperwork and stuff for my purchase and never once complained, made any kind of rude/unnesecarrry comment, or anything. I haven't been in there to buy much ammo in the past 6 months since my daughter was born because money is so tight and I've just been shooting what I have at the house already so I don't know if she's still working there but like I said, she's been nothing but nice every time I've been in there. The other people who work in the sporting goods area are also nice and I have nothing bad to say about them. If I had the money to buy from the local gun shops, I would, but being a 25 year old with a health condition, still in college, and working a part-time job at FedEx, I just don't have the money to do so... Maybe one day.
  5. The folks at Classic Arms are great! I've had nothing but good experiences with them and they are good guys in general outside of the shop.
  6. Where did you hear that? It's not true at all. I just texted my buddy at PSA and asked him if there was any truth to that and his response was "rofl *insert picture of a box of completed lowers* there are many more like this next to it". Whoever told you that is just talking to hear themselves talk...
  7. WIC is vouchers only and you if you want to get the whole use of the voucher, you must get every item on the voucher when you use it. You cannot get half the items on the voucher one day and turn around get the other half the next day. My girl friend gets WIC for her and our daughter to help a little bit. With the job market the way it is, she's unable to find a job with a college degree. It's not for lack of trying to get a job, they just aren't that easy to come by. She's been filling out job applications weekly and is even considering going back to school for nursing in a 1 or 2 year program so she can find a job easier! We are fortunate enough that our families help us a lot and we have free rent for her and our 5 month old daughter. I work part-time at FedEx and am in college so my income is very minimal. I do what I can to pay bills but without the help from our families, we would be in a very bad situation. All that being said, do I wish things were different and we would have had the baby at a later date? Yeah, I do, but things happen and my daughter is here now. I love her more than anything in the world and don't regret it one bit. All I can do is work and continue going to school to hopefully find a job where I can provide for them by myself without having to have the help from our families. For the time being, we don't eat out, we don't go buy new clothes, we don't do much of anything unless it's very cheap or our parents give us a little money to go do something and offer to watch the baby.
  8. As PolePosition said, go to Classic Arms. Mason will get you all taken care of GregK.
  9. It's nothing special but I just got done building it myself with parts I got from PSA. First one I've built and it took me about 40 minutes to get it all together.
  10. I placed an order with PSA for some stuff on the 26th @ 830pm and I got the confirmation e-mail right after that. I got the shipping/tracking e-mail on the 27th @ 1050am saying my stuff had been shipped. That's a little more than 14 hours to get my stuff pulled, packaged, and shipped. Howler, if you'd like me to check with my friend about your order you can PM me your order number and I'll get him to check on it when he's at work Monday. The same thing goes for anyone else. My friend said their sales have doubled since Thanksgiving and they weren't ready for that much growth in such a short amount of time. They just hired quite a few new people in the shipping department so that should help them out on getting orders processed faster unless something has to be built. Garufa, the shipping rate on ammo was changed because apparently they had a decent amount of people buying just a box or 2 of ammo at a time and it was costing the customers $12 to have it shipped and they complained about it which made the flat-rate shipping go away.
  11. Thanks for the info Seaslug! There's the same amount of room between seat and console in all the F150s I've driven so that spot would probably be a no-go if it's tight for you.
  12. Seaslug, I see a F150 that appears to be a King Ranch! I like that setup but the only thing that turns me off to it is the fact you have to stick a big honking piece of Velcro to your vehicles interior and it seems like getting it off would be a serious pain. Would that holster fit between the seat and the center console? That way the Velcro wouldn't be in plain view if you decided to sell the vehicle. I have an 04 F150 and if it would, I would seriously consider getting this.
  13. Hey bro, glad you finally signed up!
  14. If it wasn't iCloud or an app update then I don't have a clue what it could have been. Make sure that you talk to them and get it straightened out so it doesn't happen again. For those people who are saying he should get an unlimited data plan, only Sprint is offering an unlimited data plan now. C Spire is trying to but I think it's charging like $70/month. He couldn't get an unlimited data plan with ATT unless he was already on an unlimited plan which he's already stated he isn't. Verizon doesn't offer an unlimited plan... And it's not possible to jailbreak an A5 device, iPad 2 or iPhone 4s, yet...
  15. Only thing I can think of is maybe an app update/download but it doesn't sound like you did that and you would know if you did it. I'm not really sure how al this iCloud stuff works so maybe it could have something to do with that?if you have an account and your phone is set to sync it will download stuff automatically I think. If you have an account does someone else have access to it via computer or other iDevice? That's the only things I can guess that happened. Maybe someone else will have a better idea!
  16. scoutfsu, if I had the money right now I'd so be all over ordering some 9mm with you! I'm just broke right now from trying to pay off new baby bills, ordering the rest of the stuff for my ar, and Christmas. Maybe we can get together later on and order some when I have money?
  17. Glad to hear you're going home. I know it's not exactly the news you wanted but it's manageable and you're still alive. I hope you're feeling a lot better than you were when you went in! Hopefully the surgery wasn't too invasive or rough on you and you can move around without needing help! That's crazy your mom has autoimmune hepatitis too! I met people who had it when I went to classes for the transplant list but never heard of anyone having it outside of there. I hope she's doing well!
  18. Timestepper, you being better is all that matters. Trust me when I tell you $6,000 is nothing when you're talking about your health. When I was 21, I ended up in the hospital for almost a week at the beginning of December in 2007. It took them 3 days to even have an idea of what was wrong. On the 4th day, they biopsied my liver to see if they were correct. The good news was they knew what the problem was and it was my dad's birthday, the bad news was that it was Autoimmune Hepatitis (your body's immune system attacks your liver), I have stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver, my liver had just about entirely shut down by this time, I was being put on the transplant list (I was VERY high on the list at that time), and it was a super bad present to my dad who had stayed with me at the hospital the entire time. I had to have a procedure called paracentesis done to drain 25 pounds of fluid off my stomach since nothing could get through my liver and it all just backed up into my stomach. I missed 3 months of work because of all this and during those 3 months I spent probably a fourth of my time either at the hospital or a lab having blood drawn to monitor all my levels. I forget what the total bill ended up being for my hospital stay and all the lab tests but it was over $100k. And then to add insult to injury, I have another disease called Ulcerative Colitis which is a type of IBD. No cure for either of them. A year after that I ended up not being able to eat without having severe pain in my abdomen so I had to have surgery and have my gall bladder removed but I missed 1.5 months of work because of that. Four years after being diagnosed with AIH and UC, I'm off the transplant list because I'm doing so well that I no longer need one at the moment and it could be years before I do. If you were to look at me, you'd never guess I had any kind of health condition except for maybe being a little crazy. The only times I miss a beat is when my meds make me extremely tired and I don't feel like going out OR my friends go out to eat at a place that only has spicy food (spicy food and UC don't work with me) so I can't eat if I go. I just had a baby girl on August 30th so I'm as happy as can be. I guess what I'm getting at is, don't let money you owe for staying healthy get you down or frustrated. It'll all work out in the end. jcj, I hope it's nothing serious and they are just being overly cautious!
  19. You're right Murgatroy, not ALL of their barrels are made by FN but the majority of them are...

    Ar on a budget

Murgatroy, I just ordered that same kit you got. My buddy works for PSA so I got a steal of a deal on it, way cheaper than the discounted price. He's going to try and get mine built and shipped out tomorrow if he can. It's going to be my first ar and will be my Christmas present to myself since I just had a little girl on August 30th and won't be able to spend a ton on anymore toys for me until I'm done with school. I'm hoping I can put it together without all the punches as I don't have much money to spend right now and trying to save every little bit I can. Baby's are expensive! But as far as PSA quality and price goes, my friend says their stuff is good and he's been saying that since before he began working there...
  21. If my 2 month old will stay asleep after we feed her and put her down, I plan on picking it up tonight. If not, tomorrow will have to do. Getting it for 360
  22. I ordered me one on Sept 5th at 830pm. The next morning I called Classic Arms to have their FFL faxed over and my lower had arrived at the shop on Sept 10th. Wait time wasn't bad at all for me, maybe I just got lucky?

I use it and it's an easy way to keep in touch with a lot of people but as long as you're smart about what you click on and just be careful, as you should always be on the internet, you shouldn't have a problem. I've "liked" things and never been asked to do anything else after that so I'm not sure what your wife did, maybe it's just a coincidence y'all are getting calls now? My cell # has been stored on the site(FaceBook part not vendor) and I've not had anything like that. Not sure what she could have done to get all those calls... I don't do any of the games or see who views your profile crap on there either. I don't think my ninjas ever had a problem on there since I told her what is ok and what isn't ok to do. Just use your judgement and you shouldn't have any problems.
