As a P-11 owner I can tell you only certain SW 59 mags will work. If there factory S&W you should be good. I like Kel-tecs.

Value Pawn Gets my thumbs up.

I went in the A frame today for the first time since more than likely the early 90's. I went in and was greeted. He asked what he could do for me and I asked for specifically a finger extension for my New Glock Subcompact. He said I don't have those. I said oh well and looked around a little. I started asking him about the glock magazines he had in the display that already had an extension on them. He said he had to look for the keys. During this whole time he is talking deap politics that i could agree with but i didn't chime in. He finds the keys and pulls out the one I was looking at and said it is $35 and puts it away not even offering it to me. I asked how much for a Glock 19 mag and he said they are $39. I'm think holly hell but maybe he will do a military discount and he said, "No first they want a discount on the range then merchandise." I said thank you and walked out. I went to Carters later and was greated and felt welcome. I actually searched for something to buy.

So does anyone know if these Academy Sports that are coming in will be selling guns? I know the other ones do.
What is funny is there is going to be one at Hamilton Place and CBL properties are "gun free" BTW I don't shop CBL properties for those reasons.

I talked to the guys from Carters and they were talking like they were leasing the building from Ray Carter. Has it changed hands and we have not known it?
All my guns now will come from Skips firearms. He sold me a new Glock for such a great deal that I can't even say. It was a Law enforcement Glock. I give him 5 STARS.

Depending upon how you feel about the .32acp as an SD round, you might also consider a KelTec P32. It is pretty much the same size as the P3AT (and the LCP, which is basically Ruger's rip-off of the P3AT.) I haven't fired one but often wish I had opted for a P32 instead of the P3AT that I bought. The P32 holds one more round in the mag, probably has slightly less recoil and is the design that the P3AT was based on, meaning that the P32 has been around slightly longer. Many feel that the P32 is more reliable than the P3AT as even the .380 cartridge is still kind of 'pushing the envelope' for such a small, lightweight pistol in a locked-breech design.
The big issue with the P32, apparently, is the possibility of rimlock when using some hollow point ammunition. KelTec sells a 'rimlock kit' that modifies magazines to prevent this or you could simply do a modification, yourself (the Flyer Wire mod is one such modification.) Of course, some people feel that you should use FMJ for defense in such a small caliber, anyway (arguing that the increase in size of such a small round from expansion will be almost negligible, overpenetration is unlikely and adequate penetration is more important.)
Another advantage is that, with the current state of things, .32acp ammo seems to be much more readily available than .380. Heck, for a while some of the local Walmart locations had WWB .32acp in stock even when the 9mm shelves had nothing but dust on them.
I had a P-32 and chose it over the 380 version for many of the same reasons you mentioned. Also the P-32 has the optional 10rd magazine that makes it a full grip-Very very very nice. It was not too hard to find the 32 ammo either.

The only problem I see with East Ridge is so much of the traffic through there is actually from Georgia.

My first visit to VOW was my last. He was offended that I was looking for a firearm that he didn't have. He also got mad that I was trying to talk to one of his other customers. Skip's is a pleasant experience. I have just had neutral experiences at Carters. I have spent a lot of money at Sportsmans. I know of a great Pawn Shop Wildwood Pawn in Cleveland that prices are right. Cash only+TBI. I just hate Pawn Shops though. I know of a guy on HWY 41 in Jasper that is very kind and prices are great. i haven't had a chance to buy a firearm from him yet but I would like to.

That is a historic rifle model and caliber like the one used by Carlos Hathcock, USMC Scout Sniper in Vietnam. I believe his was a pre 1964 though.

Norinco made a copy of the Browning that was imported by Interarms for a while.
Check and see if yours is Belgium or Japan (Miroku). Averages around $150 more for the Belgium ones on the used market. That said... don't sell it. They are such neat rifles.
One of the lightest most well balanced 22's I have ever owned. I knew the day I traded it it would become a classic.

Taurus revolvers are a little more reputable than there autos. Keep the Keltec btw

I carried a P11 for nearly a year and finally decided that was not what I wanted to carry. I sold it and moved up to an XD-40c. My was a personal decision on my part and not any particular failure of the P11.
I guess that if I had to choose between the P11 and the Taurus snubbie I would go with the P11.
The only reason I still have my keltec is because I want to go to a XDSC and the wife wants a Taurus 85. I'm looseing the battle. The wife says I already have a XD.

My wife badly wants a Taurus airweight 85. I have a keltec p32 that I wish she liked and would carry but she doesn't care for autos. I had a j frame and it is a night and day difference carrying a slimer lighter keltec compared to 5 shot revolver. It is not designed for +p ammo.

A few and very Police departments rely on them. I have read many bad reviews on them. One common complaint often comes up but I can't remember what it is. I know this because I researched buying one a few years ago as I am very anti-glock. I went to the store to buy a SW M&P and ended up leaveing with a XD. Great decesion looking back.

I am surprised no one has brought up getting a .308 I have a .270 and often wish I had a .308
Edit probably doesn't have the long distance your looking for.

I am always affraid of deploying the trigger before I can retreive the gun from the pocket. Obviously with my fingers.

TwoLaneBlackTop ,
I like the Beretta's and would love to have one but you may be over doing it a little. I have fired thousands of crappy rounds through the crappy military owned ones with few problems.
Every mans gun collection needs a 1911.
I like my XD as much as any auto I have ever owned. Since you don't like glocks this would be a great comprimise.

Did you get it?
I know where there are some wood stock 26 or 28" barrel 500's for sale for 125 at a pawn shop in Cleveland Tennessee. Good shape to. Lots of other good rifle and shotgun deals. Wildwood Pawn Shop

It's getting hard for me to not buy 1,000's of dollars worth of guns from Skips. His pricing is awesome.
Gear and toys I get at GT Distributors in Rossville. I just bought new factory Glock Magazines for $21. They are in Georgia but can do a Tennessee Handgun sale for an additional $15(it just went down).
