Gallatin Gun IDPA will host an indoor IDPA match on Wednesday August 9th at the Sumner Gun & Supply Range. Set up is at 5:00PM with rounds down range by 6:00. Around 70 rounds to complete. 4 stages. All IDPA classes plus SPC division for non-IDPA legal guns.

Just posted, busy week. Low light and regular IDPA. IDPA scoring and safety rules on light classes.

Gallatin Gun IDPA will host and indoor low light match on June 14th. Set up is at 5:00PM, match start at 6:00PM. We have classes for any gun with a weapon mounted light (pistol and PCC shoot together), Hand held light and red dot/lasers. We will also have the regular IDPA classes for those that do not have or do not wish to shoot low light. Light classes and regular IDPA will score separately. Round count should be around 70. Pre register on Practiscore is helpful.

Ok here is the stages; CM 99-21 Mini-Mart, CM 03-14 Baseball Standards, CM 13-06 Too Close For Comfort and CM 99-46 Close Quarters Standards. Plus one 32 round field course.

A USPSA classifier match will be held at the MCTS range in Dickson TN on May 13th and 14th. I plan on at least one high round field course too. I would like your input on the Classifiers you would like to shoot this match. Please use the classifier numbers.
I am filling in for John this month, he should be back next month.

Good day all;
As some of you know Gallatin Gun Club has lost its 55+year lease at the Gallatin Steam Plant. We have had 3 land deals fail. We are looking for between 50-150 acers to build a first class range. We would like to stay within 25 miles of Gallatin TN. Please forward any good leads to me or e-mail them to the Gallatin Gun mail account.
2nd problem, I have a small building and a bunch of IDPA props that I need to store until a new range is bought and built. I don't have a budget for storage so any help will be thankful. I have help to move, just need a location.

I will be giving an IDPA safety officer class on April 23 2017 at Sumner Gun & Supply. Applicants must be members of IDPA for at least 6 months and must pass the online safety officers test. This is a Sunday class. We will start at 12:00 Noon with 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of range time. I have spots for 10 students. You can contact me for information and requirements. Fee is $60.00

Gallatin Gun IDPA will start hosting indoor IDPA matches at Sumner Gun & Supply April 12. We will hold the indoor matches the 2nd and 4th Wednesday nights. Set up starts a 5:00PM with first shots at 6:00PM. We should finish around 9:00PM. I will host these matches until Gallatin Gun Club has a new range built. In the mean time I will train SO's and anybody that wants to part of the Sumner Gun IDPA group to run it's own matches after I resume duties at the new outdoor range. This may take a while, so in the present we will have indoor matches.
The first match will have 4 stages, around 70 rounds. Their is a learning curve here as I learn what I can do within the confines of an indoor range. I have limited the first match to 24 guns. I may allow more as we progress.

Payment is to be may at the sales counter of the Gun Store.

I would like to apologize to all the shooter for the snow and cold rain forecasted for tomorrow. Seems like every time I plan a trip to Dickson this winter it is cold and snowing.

Gallatin Gun Club will host most likely its last IDPA match this Saturday, February 11th. 5 stages, 108 rds. Stages 1-3 will be the IDPA classifier imbedded into the match. Normal match fees of $10 for club members and $20 for non- members. 2017 rules will be used.
