  1. I have a charter arms 38 sp. and have had no problems with it at all. Her best protection will come from whatever gun " she " feels most comfortable with. Inexpensive does'nt always mean cheap made.

while it's not exactly gun related, but the 4 wheeler does get me to where I shoot ... and sometimes I need a third hand to hold my Dr. Pepper ....fashioned this one from a 3" PVC endcap.a turnbuckle, a u clamp, and some assorted nuts, bolts, and washers ..... less than $7 all total

drill a 1/4" center hole in the bottom of the endcap

attach it to one end of the turnbuckle ( add a jam nut to adjust it later )

attach the turnbuckle assembly to your handlebar with the u clamp

holds a foam hot/cold cozy perfectly!

  3. it came about from an internet search for natural stains .....

suggestions included tobacco, coffee, black walnut hulls, etc.

I mixed up and heated a thick 1/2 cup of instant coffee with water and applied with a soft cotton rag ... rubbed all over and let it dry before repeating the process .... took about 4 times to get the color I wanted .... it darkens the edges where the imprinting is more than the smoother parts of the leather

  4. I have the Savage 24 in 22LR over 410 .... nice gun for coon hunting ....

I believe long guns only ( no pistols ) can be shipped withing the same state ( Tennessee ) from person to person without an FFL holder being involved..

you'd ship to hias address and he ship to yours ...

  5. You can debate the legality of the location of the poster, but the end result is that it is posted and once you become aware of it, you should abide by it or be prepared to face whatever consequences occur. Personally, I don't carry in the Post Office. Nor do I expect my customers to either. I've worked for them the last 25 years ...

I'm not telling you to carry , or not to carry: use your own judgement.

  6. anyone have any experience with trigger flop on their marlin?

just bought an 1894 .44 mag cowboy and it has a dangling trigger ....

thought at first something was unhooked or broken,'

but have since researched it and it's common on the newer models ....

something to do with the trigger being made in 2 pieces now

that will only allow the gun to fire with the loop completely shut ....

have 3 other marlin lever actions and none of them flop

    .45 LC cowboy, a 39A, and a 30-30

read about an aftermarket trigger that is one piece

    that cures the flop,

    but runs arounds $90 ...

also read where someone had pinned and jb weld the original 2 piece trigger into a one piece part and it solved the dangling condition ....

I've shot 200 or so rounds thru it,

    the rifle shoots fine;

just errey the way the trigger dangles

    should I be concerned

or if it's not broke - don't worry about it ....
