  1. What if anythihng will happen to those few amenements that were tabled? IIRC, one was going to make it a felony if one with a permit was caught drinking while packing in a restaurant.
  2. Nevermind, looks like it PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I heard right the vote was 7-2
  3. Crap, it's on the floor and a rep from the restaraunt comittee is opposing the bill.
  4. I thought 962 was going to be on this calendar....
  5. Would you mind keeping us up to date then? Mine will play 10 seconds, then buffer 10 seconds. Gets really old really quick.
  6. It's very choppy for me. Hopefully others can view it better. http://tnga.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=2&event_id=98
  7. 082 passed w/o a hitch, judges get it easy! I'll shut up now, looks like chipperi is updating as necessary
  8. Germantown rep is really stirring the pot on 0960!
  9. Kinda my thoughts as well. And it looks like BigPoppa found the law I was referring to. That's why when we go to O'Charleys I just deep conceal and go on.
  10. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they recently pass a law that basically clears you of packing in prohibited areas if you use your gun in a self defense situation?
  11. Have you ever heard the phrase "if guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns." What you are doing is mearly screwing the law abiding citizens out of an opportunity to protect themselves. I mean, do you honestly, 100% believe that a BG is gonna walk up to the entrance to the mall, see your sign and say "guess I better go put my gun in the car and not rob this place." NO, the answer is NO!!!!!!! Instead, what he's gonna say is "SWEET, no one in here will be able to protect themselves, I have free reign!!" Seriously, if someone has intent to go armed and committ several felonies, do you think a "carrying in prohibited areas" felony is gonna slow them down. Smooth move ex-lax. BTW that franklin wal-mart number you posted does not exist.
  12. Actually I think the appropriate response would be "BOOM!" In the time it took you to say something, you could already be dead.
  13. Lakeland, no kidding? Makes 2 of us, I live in the woodland park subdivision, close to the corner of 64 and Canada.
  14. Trust me, he's no friend, just a sales rep trying to impress. Thanks guys, I thought something sounded fishy. I should have realized it when I pulled out mine and he happened to forget his. I don't think that would be something you'd leave at home.
  15. Guess I should have posted here first. I've been on the packing.org site for a long time, and just recently came across this site. Actually I kinda like this one better, it seems more informative. So, well...hello I guess!
  16. I've had a permit for about 6 years now, just found this site today(I've been frequenting packing.org for a long time) and thought maybe you guys can tell me I haven't lost my mind. I was discussing the TN carry permit with a sales rep this afternoon, when he drops this line on me: "yeah I have a TN carry permit AND a TN CONCEAL permit......" I questioned it, telling him I'm 99% sure you can conceal with a carry permit and that I've been doing it for years. He then tells me that I've been in the wrong and that if I'd have gotten caught that I would have been in deep trouble. I'm supposed to carry open with my permit?!?!?! Now I am totally baffled, even a little concerned. I can only find one type of handgun permit for TN, nothing about this special "conceled" permit. Can someone tell me that this guy is an idiot? To give him the benefit of a doubt, he did live in Florida before moving to TN. Thanks in advance.
