  1. Love my M&Ps (I have the full size 9 and compact 9). The only issue I have is with my full size 9 will slam charge with anything more than 5 rounds in the mag. Not sure how to stop this, but it makes my reloads crazy fast. But I would like to stop it.

  2. I currently have the 4 power ACOG on my MP15T. I think that would be a little over kill for 70 yards. I have been thinking of trying out the Trijicon RX34 with the 4.5 dot. Not sure I am sold on an amber dot though. I have not looked at one in person. Given all my shot with the AR will most likely be 100 yard are closer I think it will work well. LA_357SIG- any issues with wash out on the amber dot? I like you RMR set up.

  3. I use the Knoxx Spec Ops on my Rem 870 and I like it. Here is a question about shotguns in general for HD. I am used to AR15s/M4s so every time I pick up my 870 it just feels huge and impractical. I just cant imagine clearing rooms in the middle of the night with it when I have other smaller easily manageable options. I do understand why they are good for HD but they just feel off to me when I have my AR right next to it to pick up. I guess I just need to short barrel the 870. Yes I realize at no point did I actually ask a question and now I dont know why I even typed this.

  4. Thanks for the replies. I think 9 power may work for me at 500 yards. I have a 4x32 ACOG on my M&P15T and can see pretty well at 300 yards and also used the ACOG in the Army at that range. Not looking to hit a quarter at 500 yards just a deer/man size object (not that i will ever shoot either). Mikegideon- I agree that 9 power would be to little for any kind of competition shooting and I do appreciate the input. Probably I wasnt clear on my intentions at 500 yards.

  5. I am glad this question was asked. I also just purchased a Rem 700 SPS Tactical and have been looking at bipods. From everything I read Harris seems to be the way to go. Now all I need is an affordable optic. Thinking Bushnell Elite 3-9x40. Not looking to make shots past 500 yards. Any suggestions, not looking to hijack this thread though.

  6. Saw it yesterday. Good typical summer action movie. Not quite as good as the first two but better than the AVP series which I thought was shot too dark and focused on predators being big strong and slow. There is alot of references to the first movie if you look for them and they develop the predators a little more as characters than just alien killing machine (you see individual characteristics of different predators, they arent all carbon copies of each other). Overall much more similiar to the first movie. Just my two cents. If you are a fan of the series it is worth seeing in theatres. As far as firearms I was a little dissappointed in gun play as a whole.

  7. I have a 870 Tactical with Knoxx SpecOps stock. I like it and have not had any problems with it. However it seems a little big for using in the house I would probably reach for one of my other smaller weapons if something goes bump in the night. I haven't figured out why I need it but I do need it.

  8. I also purchased an M&P 9c about a month ago. I have put about 300 rounds through it without an issue. Traded a 92FS for it because I have a XD45 full size and didnt need two full size handguns. After shooting the 9c I now want to trade the XD for a M&P 9 5". I just seem more accurate with the M&P series. Plus I have a M&P15T so it would be cool to streamline everything to M&P.
