  1. Thank you ZZRguy, I really am liking it, haven't rode it anymore until I am done with class which is tomorrow and Sunday. I love the pictures and I love her jacket, it has the colors I want. I understand her concern about Tail of the Dragon, I'm not sure I will ever do it, but who knows, I surprise myself sometimes.
  2. Oh yes definitely on the saddlebags but in due time, I am breaking the piggy bank trying to get all this stuff together LOL. I hadn't really thought about the hardshell, I just figured leather would be good. LOL now you gave me something else to think about
  3. Thanks everyone! jwp, a jacket is next on the list. I have two different leather jackets but I want one like you have in the pic, only I want a bright colored one, hot pink preferred LOL. I am still looking, haven't found quite what I want yet. I am trying to get it all together, I do have gloves just didn't have them on. I have boots and a helmet also so I am almost covered.
  4. Thanks Fallguy, I have the Kreps page that is Knoxville's page about the MSF but I hadn't been on this one.
  5. Thanks Fallguy and ummm, how will I know that I am staying in the box if I can't look down? About how big is the box? If you don't mind me asking that is.
  6. HAHAHAHA, I didn't make it through the first day.
  7. Thanks everyone. readyornot, I am taking my classes in Athens.
  8. Got my bike today and of course I haven't rode it yet, it's raining but I probably won't take it out until I take the MSF class this weekend and then I will be taking it slow. But she/he/it is in my garage and sitting pretty! Oh forgot to say what kind it is, this is a Yamaha V Star Classic.
  9. Tis ok GLOCKGUY, you are a guy and you have a wife so it didn't occur to you to include husbands and all, no harm done. I included myself even if I didn't have a wife nor do I want one.
  10. I have carried it at home but normally I just take it with me and lay it by what I am doing, for instance, I am sitting at the kitchen bar on laptop and G26 is laying by my mouse pad. If I go upstairs I carry it up there and lay it by what I am doing. If I go outside at the picnic table or on the back patio I have my G with me. So I sorta carry, just not in holster on my person necessarily.
  11. How many wives do you guys have? LOL OK so I have no wife, but being the "wife" I have mine and was the first in our family to get one and now hubby has one and daughter has one and son in law is doing the mailbox dance. *I just wanted to be included*
  12. Actually this is true, my husband sanded down a little on the kel-tec around the edges because of the little pieces of plastic that would snag my hands. It helped a lot but the actual jaggy grips I'm not sure about. The LCP is just smoother there from the get go.
  13. I'll never stop shopping but I can pretend. Since November of last year this makes my 6th gun but I ended up trading two of them for a 1911 for Mark and I gave him my Kel-tec so now I am down to three. My husband is smart, he buys guns that he knows I won't want, they are too big for me, well except I do like to shoot the Charles Daly 1911 but I wouldn't ever carry it. He has a Ruger Super Redhawk and a Ruger Single Six and now the Kel-tec. I have a G26, a CZ 75D PCR and the LCP will be here soon. Oh and I have a .22 Remington Nylon rifle that my dad gave me a long time ago.
  14. Hey now my husband frequents this board, I have to at least make him think I am not looking anymore.
  15. towerclimber I actually put the gun on lay-away because well I am trying to get all the stuff to get ready for my bike when it gets here, the MSF course, the helmet, I need a jacket etc and so the LCP comes up and there it is and I don't need to be buying a gun right now but I wanted that dang thang so I put it on lay-away. I will definitely let ya'll know when I get it out which will be in a couple to three weeks. I will take them both and compare them, but I have a feeling that the LCP is going to be much easier on the hands while shooting, the Kel-tec is rough with those little jagged edges on the grip, the LCP is not like that at all. To be honest here is my idea on the whole thing, they (LCP and Kel-Tec) are neither one a pleasure gun, they are protection tools so if you need to pull that thang out and use it, it won't matter if it skins your hand up a bit, saving your life is what matters. The good thing about these guns is that they are soooo small and so easily hidden that it makes carrying less worrisome. They can be used as a BUG or at times I have only carried the P3AT. So I don't think anyone will go wrong getting either but the LCP handle is smoother for sure so that will make it more pleasurable for a woman with soft hands to fondle. Hopefully you can find the LCP for her to handle, I think she will love it.
  16. Thanks Curiousgb, I am very proud of him.
  17. It would work great for the night we stay there but when I leave for graduation we will be checking out of motel, so therein lies the problem. I did send out an email to the PAO and if I don't get any response I will call them. Thanks for everyone's help and idea's.
  18. I wondered if locking it up in a lockbox would work in the trunk of my car? Who would I even contact for a written authorization? Does anyone know? My son wrote me and said "Mom, do not bring any weapons with you, that means you can't bring your gun and don't bring Eden and Da'Kari either." ROFL like I was gonna bring my dogs, hahaha, I guess he never knows what to expect from mom but LOL I would never think about taking two dobermans. He is so cute and funny! But I do want to take my handgun is I can find a viable and legal way to do it.
  19. I have to agree with molonlabetn and though I do CC and will probably always CC only I don't worry if my gun accidently prints or accidently shows and if the law changed I would hate the extra pressure of knowing that if it were to show I could get arrested. I want restaurant carry but I'm not willing to give up one right to gain another, we should have both rights period!
  20. and will have to go out of state unarmed. I hate the thought NOW after being armed for months to have to go out of state completely unarmed. My son is at Fort Jackson SC taking his Basic and will graduate on Aug 8th. My daughter, Tylers girlfriend and I will be going and spending family day with him on the 7th and then the following day for graduation. I understand I can't carry on base and all that but what I am going to hate is not being able to have my protection on me on the trip and at the motel etc.
  21. So are you enjoying your time alone? I would be. I used to hate being alone and I don't want a lot of it but I cherish my alone time now as I get older. When I was younger I got bored too easily and needed to be doing something but now I love reading and just having "me" time. Hey I got a Ruger LCP a few days ago, the new gun shop in town got their first one in and he called me! I was so excited, I was on a long waiting list at another store and now I don't have to wait. I loved my little Kel-tec because it is so easy to conceal but I wanted the LCP and so I handed my Kel-tec to Mark LOL. He needed a small handgun anyway because all his guns are big. I figure I am done with buying guns now. We had a cookout on the 4th and all my children and grands were there except my one son at basic in Fort Jackson. I sure do miss him and he is getting homesick. I have a trip to plan soon to go to the graduation. I dread when he gets sent overseas, now that will be hard!
  22. FL is CC only also and I was told you better NOT print.
  23. Hi Angel, I am here everyday several times a day but there's not much posting in this area so I just read a lot on the other threads. Of course I have been busy too, studying for a MSF class I am gonna take next weekend and just busy all around.
