  1. You need to chill the F out. Don't like their policy? Don't shop there. If you can't comprehend that then that is pretty damn sad. You want to write a letter? Write away. But whining and getting upset when someone brings up something that has been said about carrying concealed since Day One is just silly.

Randy,Don't listen to this guy!Keep up the good fight. I assure you that I will compose an e-mail as will my son (another HCP licensee). If you do nothing or say nothing, then they have won.

  2. Try Sportsman's Supply in Hixson. Carl may not have exactly what you want, but he can get it in one day to see if you like it.

In the Chattanooga area, try Benton's Shooters Supply in Benton, Tennessee.

IMHO, Sportmans Warehouse is the Walmart of the outdoor sports/shooting supply industry. Patronize your local, locally owned gun and outdoor shops.

  3. As stated before, the Hogue Handall (model #17000) wraparound grips will work well for you. I have them on a Glock 22 and 23 and they make all the difference in world in shooting. If you want replacement, rubber grips, try the Hogue 26000 or 26010.

  4. :( why??

Mainly because we ship thousands of packages per day, we are set up on UPS Worldship and we receive close to a 45% discount on all UPS Air products.

However, I am going to check into shipping handguns via Fedex Ground.

  5. I work for FedEx...

Declare it to the clerk taking it in... do not mark the package....The manufacturer will send it FedEx back to you.

    It is really that simple.

    canynracer,

I noticed that we received several boxes of Keltec's via Fedex Ground. I didn't know you could ship handguns ground. Apparently you can.

  6. yep, cat, ya got me on that one. ORM does require ground service. I ship it only UPS, they are the only ones that I know of.

Actually, and not to be argumentative, ammo can go all UPS Air services, too.

There is a $20 Air Dangerous Goods fee attached, but ammo can go UPS Air.

  7. As a distributor, we ship HUNDREDS of handguns every year through the U.S. Postal Service.

I reread the original question and you are correct regarding shipping and an individual. I stand corrected. Sorry for any misinformation.

  8. I just discovered this site and it is very refreshing to read, learn and possibly share information with other gun owners in Tennessee.

Let's see, a little about myself:

51 years old, married (24 years), father of 2, 1 graduating UT this spring, another entering UT this fall. I play too little golf. I umpire HS and JUCO baseball.

I have had a CCW permit for 6 years and strongly believe in gun rights for Americans.

    Enough.
