  1. I have been a cycle shop all my 66 years. Valves very rarely bother until they have several thousand miles on the engine unless the factory screwed up. I would check the carb and make sure the choke is working and the starting jet isn`t plugged--or the idle jet depending on the style of the carb. If this has screw adjusters it is a piece of cake to adjust them. If it has shim adjusters then you will need to go to someone who has the shims on hand and the tool to change them. Good Luck

  2. Flying is one thing I really miss. I did a bunch of it about 36 years ago but gave it up for 2 kids and a new house for the wife. Now I don`t think that I could pass the medical due to health problems. It is a different world up there.

  3. I was in Murfreesboro last weekend for my once a year visit to my home town. Wife & I were in the mall several times and never saw a sign anywhere. That is the first thing I check wherever I go. There was a Rent-A-Cop walking around looking important. As a nice guy I said Hi and he looked at me like I was some piece of trash and walked off. I am 66 years old and a lot older than he was. I felt like tripping him up with my cane. Then there was one outside in a mall cop car just watching everyone that went in & out. They must have been afraid that someone might scare them. Just a bunch of want-to-be-important jerks.

  4. I will be coming back to Tennessee in about 3 weeks and since I live in Nebraska now I almost have to go through Illinois. I have never had any problems over all the years I have been doing this but it only takes one time to mess you up.I may just leave my gun at home since a lot of the places my wife wants to go in Tennessee are off limits to guns anyway. Here in Nebraska we can carry almost everywhere without any problems. I have a couple of other options yet.

  5. In Nebraska Church`s are off limits to carry unless you are hired by the Church for protection. There are 3 of us in my Church that have permits abd one of them is a retired cop. We have a small Church so no one is worried but I do carry if I am going somewhere right from Church. I am the Chairman of the Board so I elected myself as Church protector.

  6. It is the same here in Nebraska. You DO NOT take a drink if you are carrying. You can & will be fined and maybe lose your permit. If I am carrying and in a place that serves I will dring Ice tea or pop. I am originally from Murfreesboro and will be back there again in October for my yearly trip to visit family. Maybe I will run into a few of you then. Keep up the good work.

  7. In the summer I wear button front shirts that fit loose. You can get them at any departmant store--either solid or prints. In the winter I wear loose sweatshirts or if I need to dress up a bit I have a nice looking vest that is made for ccw. Looks like a normal vest from the outside. Works for me. I carry owb either a Glock 26 or a Taurus PT140 both in a DeSantis Mini-slide holster. Good Luck

  8. It is just as bad here in Nebraska. I remember as a kid in Tennessee how humid it was there and how dry it was here. Now with all the irrigation and the rain we make our own humidity. At least I work for myself and I can take a break as I want. My shop does have an air conditioner if needed but it doubles the light bill. Tough to get old.

  9. That is why I like living in the country and having my own range. Too bad I wasn`t able to get my grandparents land near Murfreesboro after he died but he left it to my uncle and he sold it before I knew about it. It was about 6 milse out of town and a lot of timber to hide everything. Good Luck guys

  10. You guys are having too much fun. All I can afford is the free bowling pins I get from my sister-in-law`s bowling alley. I hang them in trees and when they are used up I just toss them in the wood stove for fire wood. They will take a lot of hits and keep on swinging.

  11. I carry either a Glock G26 or a Taurus PT140 Pro. Both are great guns and shoot well. I`m not real happy with the Heine sights on the Taurus but I can deal with them for now. I also carry a Taurus TCP in the pocket as a back up. Like the TCP for the way it shoots but don`t like the recoil of the little guns. I am looking at a new Sig P250 but haven`t had a chance to hold or shoot one yet. Wife says that I don`t need any more guns but it is a cheap hobby. I only own 19 at this time so I have room for a few more.

  12. I guess that I am missing something. I still haven`t did the "Wally-Walk" But then I have only had my permit for 6 months and I don`t shop at Wally World unless I really have to. Can`t stand the place. I have made a few malls and other stores. Anyway it is good to be able to carry without the worry.

  13. I have one and really love it. Mine is an 'A' series. The letter is in the serial number. I have heard & read both ways about problems. Some say the A series is the better one and others say that the B series is the way to go. I have had mine since last November and never have had a problem with it. If you haven`t already been go to www.taurusarmed.net This site will tell you almost everything you want to know about Taurus guns without all the BS from non owners. I own 2 Taurus pistols and 2 Glock pistols and would buy either one again. Have had good luck with all. The nice thing about the TCP is that it comes with 2 mags, locks open on last round fired, comes with a holster and has a lifetime warranty . Hard to beat that. Good Luck

  14. You guys are lucky. Here in Nebraska you can not carry in church unless the church hires you as a guard. I go to a small church and I am chairman of the board so I guess I can hire myself to guard the church. We have a couple others that carry also so there is no problem here.
