I got my Savage MKII TR with the EGW 20 moa scope base out and dialed in at 100yds then decided to go out from there to see how much elevation I picked up. I used to run out of elevation just before 200yds with CCI subsonic ammo and a YHM MITE suppressor topped with a Center Point 4-16X mil dot, yes I said center point as in from wal-mart. I have used these on 3 .22 rifles now and they do a great job with a .22 bolt gun and are priced under $70. I added the EGW 1 piece scope base with 20moa elevation built in and tried again, I can now actually dial in a CCI subsonic .22 out to 300yds I run out of elevation there but hey it makes it. I tried with CCI stinger ammo on the same setup and it makes it to 300 with a few moa to spare in my target turret. I dont know how many of you shoot a .22 that far but hey this rifle has proven it can be done accurately and reliably I have to clear some branches to get a good group at 300 but at 200 its head shots all day long with subsonic ammo and a can how cool is that.

I agree I had an issue with my crown after threading and used a stainless ball bearing and some compound to lap the crown and dropped my groups to about half of what it was from the factory, took about 4 hours while I was watching tv over 2 days but well worth it not a single imperfection to be seen under a magnifying glass.
