Thats the place to be for weeknight shooting. Good bunch of people, good stages, very informal setting, welcoming to new people. Rob and the guys always provide some fun shooting. The usual crowd is anywhere between 15 and 20 shooters.

Really? Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

I believe someone could just about shoot IDPA every week with the various matches around middle tn.

I didn't know about that one either..

I shoot there about every 3 weeks.

Gonna be there May 19th?

Oh, how strict on the rules are they? Gotta wear concealment, for instance? (I probably won't pack a vest just to wear for 3 hours if I don't have to).

Interesting... A quick check of the IDPA website found me this page:

http://www.mctsclub.com/Match%20Results/2008/2008MatchResultsMain.htm

There aren't any Masters, and only occasionally 1 or 2 Expert-class shooters listed in the scores. Here in town, we've usually got a couple of 2 or 3-gun Masters for me to chase, and always one or two other guys in my division (SSP/EX) that I feel the compulsive need to outrun. It'd be weird to be alone in Expert, so to speak. Not that I'm complaining.

Any of you guys aware of other indoor matches during the week in the area, within a 30-60 minute drive of Nashville its self?

Here in Memphis, we can shoot weekly at one indoor range on Tuesday, another indoor range on Friday, every other Saturday at one outdoor range, and a weekly (and a big monthly match)

are held just south of the state line in Mississippi at another outdoor range. The idea of only one indoor shoot a week is forgeign to me. I usually shoot between 6 and 8 small matches each month, and hit sanctioned matches whenever I can. :)

(Anyone on TNGunOwners going to the AR State match on May 3rd?)

If I can show up that night I will. The MCTS guys are my regular bunch, I just do Springfield when I get the chance. The Monday night thing is very informal. They shoot IDPA targets but it is pretty loose after that. I don't know if anyone there would classify Master but some would surely be Expert. Check this out if you are interested.

Bump...

Trip is coming up. Getting off work at noon, going to have my luggage and range bag packed and ready to go (Insert 'you might be a gun nut if...' joke here).

If you make it, look for the guy with the two-tone G34 that you've never met before. I got bored and duracoated my 34 (again) on wednesday. :D
