I saw that movie when it came out. I didnt remember liking it. I am a big fan of Boxing, especially the Heavyweight division (But thats off topic). Decided to climb in bed early last night and put something on the TV that would make me go to sleep. Raging Bull didnt do it.

Raging Bull has got to be one of the top 5 best movies I have ever seen. Robert De Niro is so good in this movie that you forget your looking at Robert De Niro and he becomes Jake La Motta. He really is that good. You watch interviews with De Niro where they ask what his best role was and its always  "Well, that depends". Well, I dont know why he doesnt do what George C Scott did, always said hands down it was Patton because "it was a story that needed to be told" and the one he worked the hardest to do his absolute best, because it sure does seem like thats what De Niro did.

And this has to be Pesci's best acting as well. When he came on screen first thing I thought "Another crazy mobster killer role" (Casino, Goodfella's, Once Upon a Time in America). but it wasnt.

The choreography on the boxing absolutely sucked but didnt take away from the movie at all.

Just thought I would mention it for those who havent seen it, well worth watching.
