  1. Chris' scales are awesome. The crotch walnut that's on the Willow Camp knife in my possession are unbelievable. Every angle has a new appearance, and their mild contour fits the hand perfectly for a comfortable secure grip. Awesome knife up there, love the hamon!
  2. I've been using mine in the kitchen quite a bit (family is out, so the nicer tools get to be used - they like dull kitchen knives, something about getting cut... though I cut myself with dull knives more often than with sharp... go figure) This weekend is my scout troop district's Camporee, I'm sure it'll get a bit of harder use there (and some jealous looks from the other scouts and leaders ) Let me know when you've got another opening for comissions, I've got a hankerin' for a smaller edc knife
  3. Heck yeah I would. No idea if I'd ever be anywhere near ready to get into knifemaking, but it would be cool to see your process.
  4. At least it's just stitches, and not further damage. Probably time to invest in a leatherman (or similar). Knife and screwdriver (and other stuff), at the ready. No reason to use the wrong tool. One more question... Is the blade ok? When I did this with my buck folding knife, the tip sheared off forming a perfect screwdriver!
  5. From the TN.gov FAQ And from the Handgun Carry Permit information TLDR: from that info, they shouldn't have taken his permit. EDIT: If it were me, I'd go through the request a duplicate procedure by mail, and in the letter cite the issues with the DMV employee.
  6. Magazines. Mag loader Red Dot (too many to list, hopefully you've got one in your sights) (get it?) (sights?) Ammo. Targets. (Links are up just so I can be lazy about posting pictures of examples, etc, etc, etc)
  7. Bill has done work for me, not threading, but a trigger job on a Rem 597. Took an awful trigger and worked some magic. This was about a year ago, took 2 weeks to get the rifle back and it wasn't cheap. I've seen his threading jobs as well, clean work. Even now I hear there is usually a bit of a lead time. I'd trust him to work on pretty much anything of mine, but if you're on a tight budget or need it done right away... I might look elsewhere. Get a quote up front on time and cost. I wasn't worried about either with the Rem, and am glad I took it to him.

    Glitch?

This is actually a fairly widespread issue across multiple forums. TGO David is working on it. see http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/47415-dns-hijacking-affecting-tgo/ I've worked around it by ignoring all signatures. Settings > 'Ignore' Preferences > use the "Ignore all signatures" checkbox > Save.
  9. There are some (a scant few) exceptions to this; one in particular being the Franklin Armory XO-26. Each comes with an ATF letter indicating that although it does have a VFG, it does not fall under AOW/NFA status because its overall length is greater than 26". [Link to ATF letter - PDF Warning]
  10. It's set up for a standard military M4 carbine, yes. M4's have 14.5" barrels, if you've got a 16" barrel the bayonet mounting ring will end up hanging on the barrel, or loosely over the barrel. 16" barrels with mid gas systems will kind of fit (bayonet ends up mounting with ring over part of the A2 comp and not on the mounting ring it should be on. Not a huge deal.)
