I took the class Nov 6th, went to DMV and fingerprinting the next day. There were three of us that did all of this at the same time. Two of us received our permit in 8 weeks and 5 days. My neighbor, who was one of the three, received his today. 11 weeks and 1 day.....go figure!!!!

This may have been discussed earlier, but I looked way back and didn't see it. If you could only have one handgun, which one would it be? It would have to be your carry gun, range gun, and home protection gun. Let's keep the price under 1K. To me a lot of thought would have to go into the decision. For instance, a lightweight, small gun would be nice to carry, but would it be comfortable for a session at the range? Which one and what caliber would you choose? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the site athough I've been lurking around it for a couple of months. I was raised in a rural area and used to hunt quite a bit. So I'm used to the long guns, but not so much to the handguns. I did spend thirty years in the Tn. National Guard, so I have some experience. My wife said I had to have a glock to carry. So I did. All of you married folks know how that goes. It is nice to finally be able to post. Charles
