  1. You said you don't mind a revolver. I have a 6" Ruger single-six, new model. I have put over 4,000 rounds through it and it is great. One nice thing is you get a 22 mag cylinder and can shoot both 22 LR and 22 wmrf with it. Mine is much more accurate than i am.
  2. both are excellent for a cheap range gun. One can go out and shoot 300 rounds for the cost of 100. Needs cleaning, but saves money. I have two CZ52, one is incredibly accurate the other shoots low and left. The TOK is right in the center and is always that way. Take your pick. Sometimes I love the CZ and sometime I love the TOK. For fun the choice changes for me.
  3. I prefer to call it a weapon with character, or pinache.
  4. I have both and both are accurate and comfortable to shoot. I have had 2 stovepipes in the SIG and 0 in the Ruger. Both are more accurate than I am. I have 12K on the Rugger and 850 on the Sig. It comes down to which is more comfortable in the hand. KB
  5. I saw an armscor 4 inch in parkerized finish. I have been talking to some folks who say it is excrement. Others say that it is a useable revolver. I was just wondering if anyone has ane experience with this model. How does it shoot? Is it accurate?

    Sig P6

I have two pro Mag P6 magazines. They haven't failed yet. Seem to shoot as well as the originals. Now watch what happens tomorrow at the range.

    New Handgun

I have a CZ75BD. It is even accurate for me. The nice thing about it is that I have put over 1.5K through it without any problem. The majority of the ammo has been white Box from Wally World and wolf from the internet. I have had no trouble with any of these brands-- and they aren't the best!! Great Choice in my opinion.
  8. I have used a bit of brown bear in my CZ82. Seemed to shoot fine. My steady has been wolf military. Silver Bear makes hollow points and they seem to be better for a self defense round. My commie guns seem to love brown, silver and gold bear.
  9. I had a great 24/7 pro in 40 cal. I shot over 800 rounds without a problem. The only problem I had was the gun shot low and to the left. I could compensate for it on the range after a while, but it took a magazine or two to get up to speed. I finally had to get rid of it, simply because I could not shoot it well. As far as reliable, it was. Smooth shooting. I really liked it, and have thought of getting another. It may have been my eye?
  10. I just received a ProMag from J&G guns. Went out today and shot 150 rounds without any problem. They do seem to be loose empty, but I have had no problem with them at all today; I said today. If any comes up I will let you the forum know.
  11. tried the raised reeded part on the case and it didn't work. Could not move it. Still have to pry up the corner and then it comes open. seems to have something missing on the inside. Had the dealer show me how, and he couldn't do it either. Screwdriver works fine.
  12. The only problem so far with the P6 is the %$#& box. Mine came with a nice blue plastic case. When I got home I couldn't open it. There seems to be some problem with the latch (plastic). It does not move. I had to slip a screwdriver in the corner of the box to pry it up, then it magically opened. Dratted Germans are smart. I spent ten minutes trying to find out how they did that. Thank God there is a Sig inside!!!
  13. Just managed to pick one up. It was clean and wonderful. Have to wait to shoot it. Will the weekend ever come. The manual was in german. Could only read it with difficulty, but it still made me feel secure!
  14. The sources are drying up. Just found out from a friend that Classic arms is out. Getting rare, grab them if you can.

    best .22 handgun

Ruger Single-six in 6 inch is great. Have put many rounds through it. Began two years ago to check. Up to 3k and still accurate. Just wish I could shoot better. I do shoot it much more now that a trip to the range could easily cost $40. With this baby it is still just a few bucks. I like it more each day.
  16. Have had Rugers for years, and I have never yet had to use customer service. I hope it continues, but mechanicals being mechanicals, I suspect that I will need to sometime, my single-six is thirty years old.
  17. The problem is that every time I am called (2x) I go and fill out a form. Sit around for hours and then at 4:00PM- or 2:00PM, am told, "Thank you"; I go home. I figured that I would never be chosen for an actual jury, but I just wish they could do some screening early. Civic duty is important but defense and prosecution attorney's know who they do NOT want. I know they can't advertise it, but it wastes so much time for so many people.
  18. +1 on the dirty. I shoot it almost exclusively in My CZ 52 and CZ 83. Never had a problem with the ammo, but it is a mess cleaning up. I also use it in my 9mm, but I use a Ruger 95, AND that gun will shoot anything. The price makes it very desirable.
  19. I haven't tried Wolf hollow points, but I am going to get some. Thanks for the email address Molonlabetn.
  20. I overheard someone saying that these are made with the machinery purchased from Colt, when Colt went out of the revolver business. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they colt designed? Are they any good?
  21. Great to have you here. Keeterbird
  22. If a .357 will deafen anyone in a car, the CZ52 if fired, will deafen anyone in a car, burn the door material off, and break out the windshield with the ejected shell. Another danger is the glass breaking if the expired shell goes through the window. CZ52 is a great gun, just not a car/truck gun.
  23. Look at a CZ82. 12 rounds, 9x18, $209 if you have a C&R Lic. accurate and the ammo is still cheap. fun gun!
  24. I'm happy with the CZ52. I have shot surplus almost excluslvely. I am even becoming a decent shot with the gun. The corrosive ammo has been no problem, because I make sure that I clean the same day with hot water, windex, and Hoppe 9. Even at 55 years old the gun shoots well. I put a hogue rubber grip and the recoil is not bad-amazing how much that helped. Not a carry gun. Can shoot the bad guy and two others in the house across the street. It is a wonderful range gun.
  25. I would second the suggestion of tnFrank. A CZ82 in 9x18, or the current production of CZ83 in 380. Shoots smooth and feels comfortable. They are not expensive.
