Dig it - thanks - I like the rust test they website shows. It is pretty impressive.

Thanks for the input - I would have the local company do it for me. I do not have any facilities to even attempt such fun.

I have been eye balling this beastie for awhile now - But since I am unable to purchase anything without getting all the available info on something....I pose this question to ya'll. Has anyone owned one of these? Are they as amazing as they seem? Do they hold up and cycle any ammo thrown into it? How is the durability? Can they handle "hot" loads? I would appreciate any helpful intel presented on this tasty little gem. Gracias (that is spanish for ...uhm........arigato)

I was at the gun show and ran across Cerakote coatings from a local company in Knoxville TN. Do any of you have any experience with this coating or know anything about it? It looks like a great product and I would be curious to learn what ya'll have to say about it.

Thanks for the intel

LOL - duck gun...heh heh - I can see why - I am a firm believer in any gun that I own must be reliable. Even if it is a smaller caliber, it has to work when it should. This tec9 is falling into the "I dont want it" category. Thanks for your info

understood, thank you for the intel - I guess I will just have to buy an Uzi Semper Fi

thanks for the info - I figured they were toys but was hoping I was wrong.....

I have owned in the past, an Intratech .22 which was a decent little toy to play with. I was looking at the Tec 9 but would like to hear what you have to say about them. If you do not like the Tec 9, what would you recommend as an alternative? I want the threaded barrel so the can that I buy will work on it. I am all about reliability, I will not own a firearm that is questionable. I appreciate your advice on this matter. :hat:

I tried to post this here, but it will not allow me to. http://s749.photobucket.com/user/itw69fxst/media/foto_zpsf027842c.jpg.html

I have not been able to find this rendition of the rifle as of yet. All of the rifles I have reviewed had a full stock leaving a few inches of barrel exposed. The sniper version had a similar barrel configuration, but the rear sights were not the same at all. This rear sight has increments up to 2000 meters. My quest continues to find a magazine, as well as figure out what model this rifle is.

Price of lead (And price of bullets?) going to go up?
itw69fxst replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
We thought the ammo shortages this past year was bad. What happens when its all made offshore and "someone" stops exporting. Oh crap, here we go again. -
Time has passed since the original query - alas, I did end up buying the K31 - it has all the markings including under the buttplate. Now, the hunt for a magazine ensues. If anyone has any leads to an original magazine for sale, please let me know. I have not stumbled upon any as of yet. Thank you for all your advice, I appreciate gaining the extra knowledge. :usa:

Thanks for all the advice - can anyone recommend a suppressor that can fit multiple rifle calibers and worth the money I will have to pay. Can you also recommend a place to buy one?

Thanks to all for your opinions and suggestions. It is great to see the interest in the. 22 - I dig all guns and want one (or 2) of every caliber. It just makes for a happy collection

That is something I will put on my Christmas list - thanks for the link. I am now drooling on my keyboard....... :stunned:

Thanks for the insight - I have a 597 and a 10/22 but shot a buddies Savage bolt action that was dang impressive. It really got me thinking..........

I met a dude at the range that told me he was in a Tampa Gun show - there was a table of supressors and a govt mule there with a laptop. According to him, you pay the seller and the govt mule ran the checks right there and then. When he cleared the check in 15 minutes, he walked out with a shiny new suppressor....all legal like. He said they do it once a year like that - I am a bit baffled and confused by this - has anyone else heard of such a thing?

Hot dawg that is some expensive hardware for sure....

What do you think is the most accurate .22 LR Rifle a person can buy ? What is the best scope to put on that .22 LR Rifle for 100 yard target shooting? What do you think is the maximum range for that .22 LR Rifle for target practice and or small game? I realize that there a million thoughts on this, I am interested to hear your input.

Hello fellow gun lovers - I have a question What would the cost be for a Chinese SKS (unmodified) with bayonette. Are serial numbers relevant for value? The gun is in great shape - What would the cost be for a Russian SKS on a Polymer Stock without bayonette. Are serial numbers relevant for value? The gun is in great shape - Thank you
