  1. That's somewhat good news to me -- I applied the same day as you. We probably passed each other in the Franklin DMV that morning!

Did you take your class over at the Williamson Co. Sheriff's Office? They're a great bunch of guys. That's where I took mine, and I've sent countless people their way. I plan on going back for more, indepth courses.

  2. Without a doubt, YES! Some won't agree, but I love my XD's. I've yet (knock on wood) to have an issue with any of them.

That being said, I don't own, nor have I fired a XDSC. Only Service and Tacticals for me.

  3. Agreed. It seems some guys can get these P225's for CHEAP, then again...It's still a Sig, so i'm ok with that.

I just re-read my original post. I hope that didn't come out the wrong way.

Bottom line, I would have made the same trade, any day of the week.

  4. Being a local truck driver, the law doesn't allow those of us who drive a commercial vehicle to carry. It really sucks, but what can I do?

If I was an Over The Road Driver, it would probably be a risk worth taking. I've heard too many horror stories about drivers being robbed, and even killed.

  5. This is an interesting problem and one I learned something about from maybe Guns and Leather altho I cant quite remember.

THe basic lesson was the whatever you take the trade in for, that same customer is going to be back. He will see his former gun in your counter and if you've marked it up 100% then he will think either you ripped him off or he is ripping off other people when he sells stuff.

Moral of the story: make fair trades and price them fairly to the next guy and you'll come out well.

    Where is your store located?

  6. I know what ya mean. He's always been good about that. Because he doesn;t have the largest selection, in stock, he's more than willing to order. As a matter of fact, he actually had to order my XD40.

The only problem I've ever had was, I ordered a firearm that I assumed was coming with 2-12 round mags, and it came with 2-10 rounders. he didn;t hesitate to GIVE me 2 brand new 12 rounders. Stand-up guy.

  7. This is who I buy most of my guns from. I price the gun everywhere else, call him, and he usually beats it. I've never had an issue with them.

And yes, it's a hardware store that sells guns.

For everything other than buying the firearms, I visit Guns & Leather. They have the best all-around gun store, anywhere. I would buy the actual firearms from them more often, but when I'm in the market for a firearm, I already know what I want, and I want the best price I can get.

  8. The 6" barrel is NOT for that firearm, but because both were designed with the Dan Wesson style, they will work together. It was produced by Dan Wesson for High Standard (1974-1975).

According to the Blue Book Of Gun Values, it's worth $300/Max.

    Happy shooting.
