  1. I just picked this up at local pawn shop. Looked new. Shot 50 rds thru it and grouped/handled very good. Has anyone else owned one of these? The texture maybe rough on clothes for conceal carry, but OWB should be okay. Gun does not slip in hand during recoil. I like the scalloped slide serrations and they aid slide manipulation. What do you think?
  2. Went to show, did very well in selling Walther PPS and Single action holster rig. Dealer prices seemed high on guns and wanted to much boot on used Glock 32. I would probably go again. Not quite as big as Murfreesboro show.
  3. I'll stick with my Glock 36 for a compact 45 ACP. I've had several Kahr's and all were excellant carry and reliable. My PM9 has a ss guide rod and tip.
  4. I saw one at Outpost Armory last Friday afternoon, exit 89 I24. Price around $599.
  5. I might give it a try. It is same driving distance as going to Hendersonville show for me. I've heard it is usually a nice size show with alot of walk-around traders. I have a Walther PPS (9mm) and a M&P 40c to try sale/trade and maybe a Norico 1897 12 ga Pump.
  6. What do you think of this design? It seems small but blocky? How does a PPS shoot and handle? What magazine extension is best?
  7. Get a used Marlin Model 336 in 30-30, check where barrel meets receiver it will be stamped "JM" , Marlin's proof mark. If Stamped REM, then Remington. There is aused Marlin in TGO classified.
  8. I too like lever actions. I currently have a Marlin 1894CB45 and a Marlin 1895 45-70. I want to get a Marlin 336 in 30-30 for hunting. I currently have my 1894CB45 in classified.

    M&P45

I have the M&P45c with Apex trigger kit and trigger is great. I like the ergonomics better than my G21 Gen4. My 45c is a keeper.
  10. I keep photos and serials of all guns in my computer and keep a listing in my billfold.
  11. I have had G19's which I like and another closes size polymer is SW M&P 9C which has a better trigger. I would vote for these two. Reliable, fewer parts, and accurate weapons.
  12. I have box of older 38 spec and 9mm Federal Nyclad. I too have not found any new production.
  13. Show is to expensive with the additional parking fee, for the number of vendors inside. I'll wait for the Murfreesboro show later in year.
  14. I too would go with Ruger Single Six.
  15. I bought my M&P 15 Sport at 10:30 am from D&T this morning for the same amount as above. Guess we were the lucky ones, for yesterday they had 5 in inventory when I called.
  16. Hard to beat the Kahr CM9. They are accurate, reliable and have a good trigger. Price is around $400-4425 new w/ 1 mag and around $375 used w/2 mags.
  17. The G21 is full size with 13 rd mag double stack, the G36 is subcompact with single stack 6 rd mag, and the G30 is subcompact with 10 rd mag double stack. There is the SF desitination on Models 21 and 30 with slightly smaller grip circumference. I have the G21 Gen4 and the G36 Gen3. The G21 is mostly house or range gun and the G36 for conceal carry.
  18. Yes I have a 2009 Mini-14 Range rifle, but would like to try a M&P 15 Sporter, if I can find a good used one. I noticed prices are usually at/below $739 for a new one. The M&P 15 sporter has a 1:8 twist, how does this preform with 55 g and heavier bullets in a 16" barrel?
  19. I have a wood stock Mini-14 SS that shoots okay, group size increases as barrel heats up. The Mini-14 has a less military look.I have been thinking about an AR, but have very little knowledge as to which brands. I've read that the AR's hold group size better when barrel heats-up. I would like to go to a modest price decent factory built AR, not a parts gun. Suggestions please.
  20. A local welding shop should be able to cut to shape and weld 1/2" plate for you.
  21. It was a small show, but has potential in future. I traded by set of Vaqueros 45 Colt and sold the G27 w/ns I received toward trade. I made slightly more than I priced on TGO.
  22. I called promoter and they said gun show and hunting/fishing show. Buy/sale/trade guns. I plan on taking a couple of Ruger New Vaquero's in 45 Colt. I'll be there early on Saturday.

    LCR 357 Magnum

I have the LCR 357 and it is my 2nd carry. I use Federal 125g Nyclad HP bullets and recoil is good and very accurate.Hard to find ammo and has gotten expensive.
  24. Is the Shelbyville show a gunshow or a hunting/fishing expo?
